Anyway… back on topic. It does seem odd how many paladins end up wearing that one white set from Legion because nothing else looks as good. But maybe some of this is down to losing class sets. In BfA, you look like an NPC who got lost on the way to the raid. It’s a bit… dispiriting to those of us who liked our class aesthetic.

And set it to the race I need when I am too lazy to make something on my own. If you want something clean, heavy duty yet dark - there is the WoD offset for paladins from the PvP vendor.

Plate has so much more potential for mixing and matching than the other armour types. If you’re only going to consider existing ‘sets’, you might find your choices being limited, but use your imagination, play a bit.
These are my two plate characters, untouched, unlevelled and unloved though they may be.

Plenty of simple looking sets out there.
Cobalt plate armour from Wrath is a nice plain simple blue set of plate.
Justicar set from TBC, again, a nice simple plate armour set. Possibly more a Paladin thing, I haven’t ever checked to see if DK’s can wear that one.
And thirdly, a mash up of the initial DK armour parts.

Also it’s supremely easy to not have an edgy mog for your DK.

You are using heritage, it is not applicable for anything but Blood Elfs.
You can enjoy the gameplay without enjoying the theme.
Monk has been my main for so long, but I hate alcohol and I’d like to see it forbidden for good.
Yeah I know, but that doesn’t change my point that non-edgy, non-DK DK mogs are easy to get.
On the other hand, I love Brewmasters whole booze-y vibe and I love the character it gives monks, I’m actually farming the brewmaster title for it.
Either way, if you want a non-edgy Death Knight mog, there’s a lot of options, just not for tier sets.
No it fully invalidates it. To begin with this is not a DK set, but a universal one (of which there are 3 types - Heritage, Blizzcon and the Epic edition)), and it is locked to your race. A better example would have been the ToV golden plate set, but I think it is not available anymore.
My goodness chill out, I literally just mentioned my current mog for an example as to how there are other options for DK other than edgy sets.

And have you seen the Maw plate armor ? It blows the rest out of the water by miles

Only the head and the shoulders aren’t I believe. The rest can still be obtained within the raid.

I can confirm that statement.
DK have the best transmog sets in the game, followed by paladin, and if you dont like the class sets, there are a lot of other options, look up transmog guides.
