Since timegating is all the rage at Blizzard HQ, i think i will also implement timegating in my subscription.
My new subscription model will be timegated . I will pay probably on next patch or maybe next expansion. that way i can release money slower so blizzard doesnt burn out of 2 much money in their pocket, but instead enjoy it at their own pace . I for sure wont be paying anything now or next month till something of interest releases that isnt timegated
Its fine to take breaks, you don t need an active SUB, play when its fun stop when it`s not.
Obliviously it would be great for the expansion to maintain high engagement and content, but that`s not really up to us. Cancel and come back when you feel like it, there are some other mmos and single player games to keep you engaged.
Apply at the nearest airport, you seem to be great at repeatedly announcing departures.
Its okay for people to be angry, if its your main game you want to have it at a certain level, so you can unwind after work and so on, it’s fine for people to be angry about something they pay, at the same time all you can do is move until the game is good for you :))

Announcing departures is not really something to discuss. Enjoy the time away, come back when feeling like coming back. That’s about it for this topic.
Actually ,it is something to discuss ,because one can list their grievances and reasons why this course of action is taken.

Probably the only reason it’s timegated to 6 weeks is to get another month’s sub out of people and in some cases ( depending on payment date ) they’ll get another 2 months like me…

Meh, yes, no, maybe. Time-gating is surely an annoying phenomena. However, a game like WoW does work best if there are active players around. Preferably plenty of them.
We do know that if something isn’t time-gated nor otherwise an atrocious grind, that players just zug-zug for a couple of days and then complain that they have nothing left to do → this also leads to unsubscribers.
So the optimal balance of time-gating / grinding / free is hard to pinpoint. But I wouldn’t say that time-gating in itself is a terrible system in this game.
In the end this ring is prob not too interesting for most of the players, really. In any way not enough “content” to get someone attached who is already struggling to find the motivation to login. Pointing to this new addition is just a distraction from the actual reasons and problems.
Noone is mad at point number patches. Everyone is mad at the poor state of the game that leads to people have nothing to do, and instead of the company that makes that game to find solutions and fix the issues asap, they release subpar upon subpar patches, lackluster balance, buggy game,bad timegated content.
To sum up:
Can I have your gold? You can timegate sending it over to me, it doesn’t have to be all in 1 go.

I think that also is timegated. you get half part at a time and you must wait 1 week for the next, but you also must stay subbed and get timegated also.

What do you prefer ? A mindless grind having to do the same thing 100000 times? Or pure and simple RNG ?
They want everything day 1 then unsub till the next content drop
And this is exactly why you should never buy a subscription bundle for 6 months or 12 months even tho its a “better deal”. Stay on a month by month sub, cancel it immidietly whenever you feel like it and its up to them to entice you back into the game if they want more of your money. Simple as that.
I have tried for years and years complaining on the forums, rarely anything sticks. Maybe once in 5 years a tiny portion of something trivial was considered as feedback for the game.

do not buy yearly subscription cause you will pay them for nothing and you hurting game itself you hurting players wanting more content
