I wonder how much gold an average account owns

Something something over 2mil atm.

Wouldnt really work. The average would be far higher than you imagine because of the 1% hogging an ridiculous amount of gold. There is a stupid amount of gold sitting on the servers.

You would need a statistic that excludes people over a certain amount of gold.

Slapface is just making an excuse not to do WQ’s and is just passing it off as “PVE” content, so he shouldn’t have to do it.

There are as many PVE’ers with the same attitude of “I don’t want to do WQ’s, I just want to segregate into my own game mode” and have the same problem as him. They just buy a WoWToken to cover their expenses.

It might be worth pointing out to him that there are PVP World Quests which reset daily. And sometimes they offer gold (probably).

Ah, I don’t consider WQs part of doing KSM. That’s doing open world content. The same content that is available to Arena/RBG players :dracthyr_nod:

Yeh, it’s just part of World of Warcraft as a whole. It’s not supposed to be something you choose to do or not do. You have chosen to do it by choosing to play World of Warcraft. How much of it you do is up to you. And if you want to skip it, then WoWTokens are there.

This is basically mean vs median :dracthyr_comfy_blue:

Mean; the sum of all divided by the number of players. Median; the amount owned by the middle player when everyone is ranked in order.

And yeah, I think the median will be a lot lower than the mean. The same is true in real life, annoyingly, where the megarich cause the “average” salary to be several times what it really is for normal humans.

I had 300 odd thousand, im a token buyer though hadnt bought a token in months. Bought all the upgrade tokens to make my looms lvl 70. That left we with 3k odds and now as of this msg i have 5.7k. If i need or want more i’ll just buy a token. Ive never been able to make money in this game i dont have the patiance.

Yeah need to sit at AH. missives and gems are EU server wide.

Oh, another one thinking everyone lie on forum

No not what i meant at all just wondering how you can do that every reset espcially on that realm :hugs:

AH is eu wide, not just my realm. Same with enchants, potions, missives and other things. Only “big” things are sold at ur specific realm. Mounts/mogs/gear/equipment

I was like that when I started and before having a deep look at professions, I would always think that gold-making was extremely hard.

There is an issue with that, it doesn’t work on low pop servers as my own sadly

I always thought is was ore/herb/cloth only so ty for info.

A better stats would be how many accounts buy gold per month vs those that earn their gold the proper way.

thats debatable, the word " proper"
technically a trade is proper, and a wow token is official gold sold by blizzard

id like to see auction house sales vs non AH sales that would make more sense

but wouldnt be fair to traders

All my Horde alts, apart from bankers, sit on between 50k-100k. When they get to 100K they send half of it to a banker. I have 2 bankers one a gold cap the other halfway there.

My alliance chars sit on between 400k and 1.5m as I’ve not bothers with a banker for them.

I use by bankers to buy tokens to bnet balance which then pays for the next expansion.

this is a really interesting topic. again, I’m surprised people seem to mostly run on the lower amount of gold.
But yeah, professions can make you some good gold. You don’t have to be a hardcore crafter to make gold off it.

It has to be classed as a commodity then it’s region wide.

AUCTION HOUSE UPDATE: REGION-WIDE COMMODITIES

Auction Houses across all realms on a given region will now share commodity listings (gems, herbs, flasks, consumables, etc.). Items that aren’t commodities –- like armor and weapons –- will continue to be realm-specific.
