I wonder how much gold an average account owns

Like… how rich or how poor an average Andy is. I wish there was some statistic published sometimes.

I have few mln now and make a token per month in wotlk ATM. Husband has similar.

Around 20k if I don’t buy tokens tbh.

Yea I wouldn’t reply to this. comes across as a phishing expedition and opening you up to be targeted for an account hack.

How would they even accomplish that.

lmao, you are paranoid.

But I didn’t ask about anyone’s specific gold amount - just wondering how rich or poor WoW players are because there are no stats re. this.

How? and the cap is 10 mln anyways, not that much

Mostly poor, if you are in gold making servers, you can see that there are not lots of ppl, if you talk to people, you know they buy tokens and don’t know how to use professions for making gold. Some people have maxed knowledge and can’t even afford buy a token per month so you dont have to buy a game time

That’s me - paranoid. Seriously though a guildie did the same thing and was bragging about his gold. A few days later he got dcd mid game and tried to log back in. His password was changed and had to get support to intervene. Turns out he was indeed hacked and support restored his account for him.

Your guess is a good as any ones. But it happens daily.

All I am saying is openly discussing you in game wealth on a public forum is not a good idea and I wouldn’t. End of discussion from me.

I don’t know how people make gold any more. Old raids and warlord’s mission table have been heavily nerfed and crafting is more expensive to make than it is to sell. Crafting orders seem to be dangerous territory too - maybe if you have guildies it’s ok? I just accumulate from questing and selling rubbish, which isn’t enough.

The fact he bragged about having gold does not mean that is what got him hacked. It may be why he was targetted but he must have had the security and common sense of a nit to have been hacked, really. Authenticator, decent password, not sharing your details or using them in multiple places and not downloading rubbish are really all you need.

if “having gold” was enough to be hacked, then DalaGG (that youtuber known for being able to farm immense amount of gold - also a clicker and a clearly bad player), would have been hacked multiple times by now

People don’t just get ‘hacked’. They either get phished or download malware. If you don’t do either of those things, your account isn’t going to get compromised.

Nothing has happened from me sharing it previously.

I have closer to 4 million gold.

How would anyone get hold of the information they need to “hack” my account?

How the gold making videos people are still having their accounts? And people share their account in gold making servers too.

I dont farm or try to make gold so I never really have any. Not an aspect that has ever interested me.
