Evening!
I’ve taken the insane decision to chase Lich King battle pet, and my understanding is that Icecrown Citadel Heroic is required.
The only problem is that based on some google searches, heroic mode is enabled on a per-boss basis, but I can’t find this option… Is this a legacy thing and now I can just enable heroic as usual?

Which pet?
The Drudge Ghoul drops in Normal mode.
The Wicked Soul drops in Heroic.
So if you want to farm the whole set for
you have to do both.
The drop rate of Wicked Soul is higher than Drudge Ghoul. Wowhead gives Wicked Soul drop chance as 8%, with Drudge Ghoul at 1.4%
If you are getting either of those, buying them at the AH counts for the achievement.
If you intend to use it for battling, the only useful breed of the Wicked Soul is S/S.
Last time I was farming ICC, which is quite a while ago, the old method still worked: right click portrait while inside, choose mode, then you get a reload screen and I was in the right mode.
I believe they disabled changing difficulties inside the raid, at least from what I’ve been hearing.
Could well be. They went messing around with those old raids. Made minor things worse, made nothing better.
Oh… I need the drudge! Thanks so much for pointing the difference… Way easier to drop
