Alliance

Race class
Humans not clear, but a paladin is a rather popular depiction.
Dwarf probably a warrior, like Muradin, maybe hunter
Dark iron dwarf I had so many trobles with their priests in BRD Classic, so this is #1 thing that comes to my mind
Gnomes probably a warlock, that would fit their curiosity and search for knowledge
Mechagnomes I guess they can adapt rather well to whatever situation, so IMO that could be a perfect rogue / spy character. Not sure how iconic that is though
Draenei They are very talented with arcane (which is what led them to their sad destiny), so a mage for sure
Lightforged draenei Paladin seems the most fitting, especially retribution
Worgen Since their curse is tied to the Scythe of Elune and Goldrinn, I have to pick a druid
Night elf The very first druid is a night elf, so, that is rather iconic imagery
Void elf the most “void” class is a priest, although death knight is a close 2nd with plethora of shadow magic
Kul’tiran well, that have to be a rogue (outlaw)… Honestly, I am not sure who is, every class option seems fitting in some way and not so much in others. But I think that the most standing out one is a druid with heavy visual drust influence.

Horde

Race Class
Orc green skin is a result of fel corruption, so to me it is a warlock
Mag’har shaman seems like a fitting theme for the original orcs
Darkspear troll when there is no shadow hunter, I have to pick a regular one
Zandalari honestly, I know too little, but priest dealing with loa is my 1st idea
Forsaken traditionally associated with shadow priest
Tauren seems to be the first who accepted a druid path in the horde
Highmountain tauren I would expect a survival hunter, but could be a warrior
Goblin the strangest option for them for sure is shaman. Like, what kind of deal would elementals even want from them? :exploding_head: Maybe a rogue taking everything that could be taken is an option too
Blood elf blood knights are the first horde paladins, so that have to be acknowledged
Nightborne an offshoot of highborne have to be associated with mage class IMO
Vulpera IMO sneaky rogue path is a rather well choice for them

And pandaren are obviously were the introduction to monks, so not that many options for them.

This list is spot on for me.

I’d only maybe add hunters for Orc since they’re pretty into hunting animals/trophies as well.

I will give votes only for Hunters (since they are my class).
Hunters best suit for Night Elves (since they have officially Hunters as army elite soldiers), for Blood Elves (since they have elite force Rangers), to trolls/orcs/taurens(because of their connection to animals), and dworfs(who also have special soldiers hunters with bears).

Yes, you are right, hunters for Orcs as well!

To be honest, I always tended to look for the direct opposite when making my characters.
Now, elves are mages. Everybody knows it. It’s basically a staple at this point.
But honestly? My next character is going to be an orc mage.
Not only is it going to be interesting, but also has a plethora of different possibilities from the way magic is used to the very philosophy in itself.
