Icy-Veins and Wowpedia have different talent trees than I do in game (mage)

Hello,

I’m trying to return to my mage and decided to re-do the talent tree completely with the suggested talent trees from Icy-Veins or Wowpedia. However, it appears the trees differ slightly from what I have in game. For example, all of them have Incanter’s flame in the 2nd row whereas I have invisibility. Additionally they also have shifting power talent in the place where I have Incanter’s Flow and Rune of Power in the middle of the 4th row on the left talent tree.

Are they outdated for mages or should I do something in game to change the trees?

Play what you enjoy because those talent trees are for top raiders/dungeoneers wannabes, so you are still leveling and have plenty room for doing whatever you want.

Why don’t you try to have fun with your Mage rather than being a metaslave?

Probably because getting removed from the groups or having your group disband is rarely fun.

Try to use mage-hub for the updated talents. This is run by the mage community ( it’s another website )

They also have to do alot of simulation testing and editing so things can take a while…

Try to work out something cool on your own, but if you can’t there’s always Manather and Aeghis with their guides. Way better than what you find on either of those sites anyway.

At least that was an easy fix and you’re all prepared for today!
