I'd play RSS and push it but

I cba waiting 30 min. for a lobby. RSS is so different than 3s. You play with specs that you never played with sometimes. I’ve noticed I’m doing poorly with Hunters for example as I want to do damage to few targets at the same time and they usually just tunnel one. Anyway whenever I queue RSS after 20 min. of waiting and doing wq I just log off as I’m bored. I cannot even force myself to get excited or get focused as I’m already irritated with the waiting time. I don’t know what can be done to change it but if it stays like this it will be the end of PvP community imo. It’s already so divided. LFG is extremely empty. At 1800 mmr sometimes you wait 3 min. for 3s game. Even RBG lfg is empty. Blizzard needs an overhaul of PvP system and ranking. Maybe somehow merging of 3s and RSS would improve it. Basically it favors premade 3s but if you have a fresh char and want to gear it first you can queue alone and play with random people on lower cr and mmr. Also I think that all 10.1 changes brought actually opposite effect. Due to CC reduction Blizzard increased the damage while healing didn’t grew. Now it’s extremely unpleasant to heal even when you’re not cced. Also people now die in small micro CCs. Yesterday I died to Demo in Mortal Coil. I think they should actually lower the damage, remove some micro CC and extended casted and long CD cc.

Cap dampening at 50% and buff all unferperforming healers.

That’s all there is to it.

Do these two things and healing in solo shuffle will become enjoyable and rewarding. People will play it. Queue times will be shorter.

Cool
Does this mean I’m no longer guaranteed dinner for Sub rogues?

Still queues will be around 20 min. In the long run it might not solve the issue. Next season we will have more stats and the healers balance might completely change. I think that PvP needs a complete overhaul if it’s about to survive.

Well theres obvious issue with this suggestion, but im aware that you surely know the outcome.

I would also rather be 30min in the game running around pillars than tabed out of the game afking and waiting for que to pop only for someone to decline.

Or implement 2vs2 RSS for dps waiting for queues, if healer queues, they join a bracket for healer+dps vs healer+ dps seperately to the original 2vs2 RSS bracket for dps only.

He has a point to be fair. Because RSS games are extremely fast while every castercleave vs castercleave game end up being a long dampening game. Literally it feels like two different games.

To be fair if this happens and I’m forced to play 2x dps 2s rss then I never queue it again. 2x dps only 2s are extremely boring to me to be fair. There are people who enjoy it but I don’t.

You can change solo shuffle to be 4 rounds instead of 6.
Both healers will play with 2 identifical DPS teams, rather than 3.

This will reduce the overall length of solo shuffle games.

What i would experiment with, is rated battleground soloq.
This bracket is in desperate need of some life.
Majority of players doesnt even know it exists and if you dont have hota glad achiev you will struggle af to get even into the daily vault win groups.

I think it’s going to happen. There was some datamining and leaks already but I’m afraid it might spread the community between the brackets even more and extend the queue times even more. On the other hand rbgs would be 6 dps, 3 healers and 1 tank so queue times would be the same.

Well ye ofc.
But the biggest issue imho with balancing length of the games, overal balance etc is usualy connected to some anoying healer adjustment- meaning nerf mana regen, nerf dampen, buff dampening, nerf defensives, add more mortal strike effects etc etc
Its always “do something that will screw over healers”…no wonder nobody wannts to play this already unpopular role.
But on the other hand …imagine if healers didnt need mana and dampening wasnt a thing. In this new era of wow healers have so many strong buttons that would make game infinite.

You’re absolutely right. 1st season was the best example of it. Disc was the best in RSS because it had the biggest amount of damage mitigation CDs while you could play 2x Prevoker RBGs as Evoker had such output when there was no dampening. I don’t think you can balance healers in every bracket if some are based on damage mitigation CDs and some on outhealing damage with just output.

Don’t forget there will be a warrior in every lobby who goes 5 wins.
