Now that we’ll see Garrosh in 9.1 again, I wish we will take him with us to Azeroth again.
Do you know why he’s interesting? Because he gets stuff done.
The Night Elves blocked trade with him in Cataclysm because of Twilight Hammer cultists dressing up as Orgrimmar Orcs, Garrosh said screw that, I’ll take your lumber myself and launched an invasion.
Theramore was breaking neutrality by infiltrating Durotar and planning to burn some buildings down, aswell as let the Alliance station troops and use their base as a pinpoint to the Barrens for an invasion, Garrosh said screw you too, I’ll bomb your entire city.
He used Magnataurs, Krakens, even molten giants in his army. He was by far the most interesting character.
Then you have characters like Baine that act like a wet slob.
Tell me, why do people like Baine? “He’s nice”. OH MY LORD! Okay, I forgot this was called World of Warcraft and that the average person who signs up for a title like that expects nice characters and no conflicts at all in the world.
Please bring Garrosh back, and make more characters like him. The World of Warcraft needs characters that take action, instead of all this passive bullcrap.
“Instead of attacking the military I’ll preventively delete an entire city that is the symbol of Horde and Alliance being able not to constantly fight each other”
“Oh I have so few control of the situation in Orgrimmar that any Oldgods’ fan can infiltrate and do bad stuff? Better steal woods from NE territory, this isn’t me invading, it’s them being baddies!!”
“Yeah I’ll gong the shizzle out of the heir to the throne of Stormwind which is the only one trying not to have the horde vaporized by Jaina, and while at that I’ll also condemn the Bloodelves of Dalaran to face the consequences and when they are dead there will be ppl thinking Jaina is bad so I’ll have more cannon fodder!”
“IT’S ALL THRALL’S FAULT! HE MADE ME WHO I AM! TRUE HORDE ZUGZUG!!!”
Let’s face it, the only one who should have led the Horde is Lor’themar.
Now wait for this thread to be filled with vulpera “friendship” lovers and other abominations, probably even fans of rotting elf ranger. For the true horde!
Ever since i bought the game in 2004 i’ve been Horde and one of the things that made me love the game was just hating the Alliance. When BFA was announced i got so hyped that finally we would have some proper faction war. It was the perfect opportunity, Burning Legion defeated, new resource, fight for it. But it was a missed opportunity, they brought these God-things again that I can barely relate too, and now out of nowhere we have Shadowlands and the Jailer and creatures that should be beyond our comprehension.
Im not saying im with Garrosh, but i would love to go back to the roots and have a clear cut Battle for Azeroth somehow
If anything, the Revendreth cinematic showed us how much of a daddy Garrosh actually is.
It’s been 6.5 years since he was killed in Mak’gora, where his opponent Thrall cheated by using magic at the end. And now, years later, his iron will and orcish pride remains unbroken. The denizens of Revendreth were so amazed by Garrosh’s strength, they could bask in his Anima Juices to nourish generations of Venthyrs to come.
Saurfang on the other hand? His depth and complexity was ‘‘trying to end his life by battle.’’
Thrall didn’t cheat, because there was no explicit agreement between them that magic was banned for the match (the prohibitions on a Mak’gora are decided between the two duelling prior, quite why everyone thinks magic is banned is beyond me, there is no lore basis for it).
Conversely, Garrosh won a Mak’gora versus Cairne where they specifically agreed to have a single weapon “bless by a shaman, no more” and Garrosh’s weapon was blessed AND poisoned which meant he invalidated the Mak’gora (even if it was done without his consent, he should have been responsible for his own weapon).
So I’m afraid Garry boy has no right to quibble over Mak’gora because the fact is he slew a great hero of the Horde in a disgraceful Mak’gora where by the line of the law on it, he cheated. He has no honour. Instead of being mature and accepting ultimatley it was his responsibility, he raged about Magatha and did his usual “it’s not my fault” thing and how he’d “been cheated” rather than focusing on the fact that he slew a horde hero and cheated when doing it.
Cairne would have floored Garrosh if not for that.
