Idea for a new server

Hello.

I can only speak for myself, and a few other but one thing that bothers me in wow is that it’s more time consuming than real life. It easier to double the sales where I work than to get anywhere in wow.

So my suggestion is a Casual wow server.

I was thinking, what do I enjoy in wow. Well playing different classes in bgs and hcs. My brother just wants pvp but refuses to even level again so want even start.

What if dungeons were 4 times harder but double xp that way it ain’t braindead farming teaching bad behaviour in dungeons because at this point, make it real or just add a skip leveling and start at max if you have one max already.

Reduce professions.
Axesmith, macesmith, swordsmith and ArmorSmith should just be BS…
Elixir master, transmutation master etc should be just alchemy…
Skinning, Mining, herbalism shouldn’t even be skills just let people pick it up.
Make everything cost less materials, everything made boe because trying to figure out how to get every professions done to get all collectible items it’s a headache so large I can’t even begin to really play the game.

I wish I could just play the game but there is too much too do.
Sure the quote given the chance people wil optimize the fun out of a game is true… So why even bother destroying the fun by making it so people have to optimize?
Make reputations, quests and achievements truly account wide. Even if this is added in retail wow it’s too late as one would be behind on all lost unique items.

Need a new casual game . Because at some point I need to question why in playing a game that maybe let’s me have fun the future if I grind enough…

This is gonna be good.

So you want harder dungeons. But everything else is just gonna be easy mode wow server.
Everyone would choose this casual server.

Why would we need double XP if we can start from max level?

I’m as casual as they come and I am totally against this. The game is what it is.

The rewards are matching your efforts, the more work and time you put in, the better rewards.

Everyone wants to be catered to, which is unrealistic. If your brother can’t even put a little bit of effort to level a character or at least buy a boost, then he shouldn’t even bother with the game.

Well, double xp ( at least) would help not having to to do the same dungeon 5 times in a row. If it was hard people would have to learn their class.
For those who can play all classes why not have the option to skip leveling.

You can change the spectrum of random dungeons with a couple of click anytime while leveling up if you are bored with the ones you have on the list.

With gated content not anymore.

As a casual scrub… i think I will just stick to retail

That’s a problem in itself, why is wasting time always grinding the answer?
How many people enjoy getting herbs for hours straight to raid, to do black rock depths 10th time in a row or another gogogoogog dungeon…
Just because the game is a grind for the sake of it rather than gameplay first. Does it have to be?

Easy - hard
Simple - complicated.

I want game to be harder in the start because it’s boring, slow and makes many people quit or learn bad behaviour.
Right now the game is complicated, not hard.

It it really hard to farm for hours to do professions or get flasks? Or is it just a another complication keeping you away from what you want to do with said flasks.

And if such a server would get too many players that proves the point people rather play than grind. The game is more about grindy mini games than actual gaming.
Battleground, heroic dungeons, raid and arena is now such a small part of the game as most people probably won’t even make it to max level and as it’s too many systems, who seriously has time to research everything.
Want transmogs and efficient crafting?
Let’s make a.
Transmutation master
Elix master
otion master
Mace spececed blacksmithibg
Sword spec
Armor spec
Leather working elemental
Dragon lw .
Tribal LW…
JC
Scribe
Mining
Herning
Skinning
Try fit all this into a few characters as possible…

Another option would be a server that’s designed with max level in mind. You pick a class and profession and everything is maxed.
Just focus on the fun things like some private servers allow.
Therese is a reason wow classic became a thing. It was hated idea among many but it came back nd stayed relevant because people play it given the choice. Let adults play as well that has families, friends, hit the gym or have hobbies to enjoy the end game as well.
I’m not saying make it easy. I’m saying make it simple. The complexity and needless grind ain’t hard. It’s boring . How is work more fun than gaming ?

Dude we’re not gonna give you all an easy mode server. Where everything is just cheaper and easier than for the rest of us :man_facepalming:

you can already play casual and solo on retail version .so i dont know why you want a separate casual server when almost everything is being given to you on current one .should you decide to play with that gamestyle.

Again, picking herbs may be very hard for you. However for most people its most likely just boring. Removing that which exists only to waste time would only bring more people into the game. You may be afraid that too many people enjoy it, like many do on private server. Meaning you and a few other people stand there alone with all your achievement points but noone to gaze upon that which was essentially mostly wasted time.

Because if that was not the case, youd simply say ah thats cool for those that just want pvp/pve without the minigames of professions, pets and stuff.
Putting the WAR in Warcraft so to say.

Somehow i couldnt reply twice before so answering the other guy as well here.
Sure some may have been added to retail, but then its even more old content than ever to gather which is a bother for all of us who see the big checklists of things to do rather than playing and at the same time too many things have been removed destroying the sense of getting close to a “completing” the game kind of feeling. Cant complete that which dont exist in fully, like steam with broken achievements.
Which is why a restart is always good, but that makes it would have to be faster (not easier) as many people like me dont want to regrind every rep yet again.
Be honest wow dont seem to attract many new people, its mostly old people returning.

You can make your life a lot easier by just ignoring professions at this point. Especially since buying the endproduct usually costs much less than the materials used to craft an item / crafting it yourself. Only professions still worth considering are gathering ones, to have something to do while waiting for the queue to pop.
