Idea for the hidden area

Hello! This is some idea for the hidden area called “Quel’thalas” hidden behind the Stratholme mountains.

This area was always visitable since classic wow. Unfortunately in DF it was closed off with an invisible wall, either as a bug or they are preparing something. I made a similar thread last 2 months but it was closed down. Here is my theories:

  1. It is the area where the early Exiled Highborne (now high/blood/ void elves) settled when they arrived in the eastern kingdom, before moving to Lordaeron and eventually Eversong woods where they founded Silvermoon. As a result, the horde sent blood elves and Darkfallen to research the area for clues. The alliance sent the void and High elves to do so. The area becomes a place of neutrality for all Thalassian elves as a means of research for history of the ruins.

Personally I’ve always been a fan of this area as the mystery behind it and the place being secluded always grabbed my attention. It’s peaceful and I wanted to know more about the place. Recently I tried to visit the area but I cannot. The last time I went was early Shadowlands

I think I saw this place in some youtube exploration video and it’s not supposed to be accessible by normal means.

Players are not supposed to go there because it “breaks the magic”. If you go there you see there are no Ghostlands where they should be according to the map.

The Ghostlands isn’t even near the area. The area is not inside Quel’thalas kingdom, despite the name saying so.

It’s near Stratholme and there is a mountain separating the two. I would imagine the area was abandoned long ago when the elves first arrived in Eastern Kingdoms, judging by the Highborne ruins and empty dock, meaning the undead cannot enter the area nor have any reason to.

If you can prove me wrong, then I’m all ears.

I mean just look at the whispering Forrest located between the mountains of Tirisfal glades. It doesn’t look anything like the areas surrounding it, because of the mountains.

The Ghostlands can’t be far from Stratholme because Deatholme is on the other side of the hills and they have to be connected somehow because that’s how the Scourge marched through Quel’thalas.

The area you’re talking about is near the shore so if you look northeast you’d expect to see land on the horizon, but all you see is water.

Quel’Thalas is immediately connected to the eastern plaguelands, it’s not a place as such it’s just the end of the Classic map. Instead of stitching Quel’Thalas together in TBC they put it on the TBC instance map.

i see.

well either way i feel like its too late to lock the area because millions have already seen it. instead, i do hope they plan something with it. even simple.

i might be a bit sentimental as i visit the area constantly in the past

Turns out that area is in reality just Blizzards Customer Support base where they log in and out if they ever revive… Sorry, I meant “when they use necromancy” to bring a GM from a decade ago back to life to fix a problem…
