…but it amuses me greatly, so I’ll post it anyway.
So, the scenario:
The war is in full swing, although Azshara destroyed most of the kul tiran fleet like any good plot device would, if it sees one side in an unwinnable war is winning. Cruelties on both sides go on, and it is hard to see, how this wouldn’t become an annihilation war, when suddenly…
…Anduin opens negociations again, this time not to sue for peace, but to have the Alliance join the Horde. All war crimes that they want to pursue are to be tried as the Warchief sees fit, the Horde is to be allowed wherever they want to go, giving the Alliance no room to hide any military moves from them, and the Alliance would accept Horde laws, if they get the rights of any other Horde member state in return.
It instantly smells fishy to Sylvanas. What’s the angle here? But she faces growing internal pressure within her faction to accept the offer, since Anduin made sure to make it as public as possible. The strongest argument for war with the Alliance was that the Alliance would some day choose to strike against the Horde, but with the Horde controlling the military, how could they? And peace on the Horde’s terms sounds like the best possible outcome for anyone on team red who doesn’t just want to watch the world burn.
So, the deal is made, Stormwind flies the Horde banner… and Malfurion challenges and defeats the Warchief in mak’gora.
Now, this would never, ever happen, and I’m sure my friends with the red avatar background will point out all the flaws in this scenario, but the idea made me smile for a few minutes, so I wanted to share it!
