Just think logically about why Druids have such abilities. Nearly every class has an immunity/near immunity (bubble, ice block, dispersion, cloak, turtle) or a way to mitigate being stuck in a stun completely like blink etc.
Druids are a fairly easy target to be able to stun and then completely unload on knowing there’s not a single ability that’s going to completely shut down your damage. There’s plenty of classes that need attention for nerfs and druids overall is definitely not one of them.
Anyone with an iota of game knowledge knew that Honed Instincts (and the other two conduits that support it) was going to be a problem, especially as HP pools increased.
It’s a shame that one of only two forms of counterplay to Resto Druids was removed between it and Necrolord.
It’s funny watching WW and Ret kill through full hots and Ironbark at 100% though.
The talent row which gives the druids an option to pick an affinity from other specs should simply be removed. It’s absurdly unbalanced and makes no sense of existence. They should come up with talents which are related to the spec, instead of providing access to bullcrap like Frenzied Regen
Honestly, give it another season and I reckon that the first tick of a Honed-Instincts Frenzy in Bear Form will immediately outheal the Mindgames threshold, especially with a pre-Swarm.
What do when the final form of counter play is no longer enough.
We’ll need an omega gladiator’s trinket that passive puts a debuff to reduce heal over time effects by 50% next season just to not play 12 min games vs druids.
People cry about dampener meta, but defensive rshams/rdruids are the ones that bring it.
Just look at the RMD games yesterday, no other healer would come close to keeping a RM alive vs jungle.
This is a very valid point and it’s almost crazy to think the class that has the least issues with Frenzied Regen is here complaining about it.
Also as a side note Balance is far from OP currently and would have its survivability slashed to bits with a nerf to Frenzied Regen/Honed Instincts. I think it’s massively misdirected anger when most of the people seem to actually have an issue with Necro Druids, and probably mostly Resto.
Whaaz was the one who probably ate the bait hardest and was shouting for the Mongo swap with and wasting all cds on a target that they still didn’t go through its defensives yet.

If autofrenzy wasn’t a thing for R Druid it would be second MW. Great healing but can’t survive 1 single stun. R Druid is already one of the healers that you can kill in one stun with proper setup. I’d say the problem is that Feral is stacked with defensive options. You have Survival insticts, Barkskin, Frenzied Regen, auto Frenzied, Bear Form and if you aren’t stupid you play Necro on top of it. Feral thanks to Necro is a spec that is taken staight from BFA. There is no go that you make on Feral that he doesn’t have any defence to use. He always has something and if he doesn’t have his healer for sure has. The main issue with Jungle is that a lot of comps thanks to Craven cannot really go on BM while Feral is tanky like a raid boss. They won’t really let you to kill Priest because they have crazy offheals and peels. Add NF Priest so he actually can stand toe to toe with R Druid in mana and even if it loses with R Shaman in mana it has better CDs in deeper dampening. This comp is like brought from BFA to SL.
At the same time spec is only viable in few comps since it has to play with Draught of Deep Focus to have good single target pressure and Cycle of Life and Death is not an option as it makes it’s options shorter. I’d love Blizzard to maybe give Feral way to extend dots duration with a talent or PvP talent and just ease with it’s defence. This will open a lot of comps for Feral like MS opened for DH. At the same thing I think auto frenzy is good for Resto Druid and Balance Druid in it’s current form since it’s nerfed from season one.
With Resto Druid what I’d love to change is that conduit reducing CD of NS to be moved for Iron Bark. R Druid has great healing and very frequent burst healing but lacks mitigation. Such shift would make Resto Druid less frustrating to play against and also create wider variety of comps for Druid.
Overall covenants system is the biggest cancer of this expansion. NF gives specs that have already insane mobility even more of it. Then there is Fleshcraft for specs that are already tanky to be even more tanky while other specs need it to even play the game.
Basically covenants system is absolutely destroying class design and overall design changes that were made after BFA. You can’t create 4 things that work for every spec and not get something broken. This will always end like this. That’s why if I’m going to play in the next expansion I cba getting another borrowed power crap. No Azerites where people used tank traits on dps specs or abused healing traits on dps specs. I’d love Blizzard to work just on class design. Review all Legion artifact passives, some azerite traits or even covenant spells and just add them specs. Maybe add another talent row or give use 4 PvP talents instead of 3 to have more customization but for sake stop adding things that are shared between specs. The reason why Legion felt way more balanced is that every artifact was dedicated to spec and not to class or all classes. If something was broken - you fixed it and other spec didn’t suffer. If not just rework specs - give them some love to fix their gameplay issues because most of them are similar to Legion/BFA versions with very little changes and the only new customization is Soulbind and Conduits.
