I did KSM and the slime cat mount and pretty much stopped after.
Am playing Wrath Classic for the time being but I would have preferred they’d not bothered with S4. However it was an experiment and I have no idea what they’ll take from that.
However as soon as DF hits, I’ll be back in Retail. I love new content.
Why even make this topic then? If you don’t have your own opinion and can’t be bothered to watch the videos of people making up your opinion for you? Just seems like a needless drama topic this does…
I mean, I am not against it being f2p but the thing is when games go f2p they then have a voluntary sub which is infinitely better to play with and/or a shop where I spend too much money and I spent enough money on the current shop as it is.
E.g: Sub + Shop: Swtor, ESO, FFXIV,
Shop: GW2
Ofc more accessibility options finance wise is good but do people really want a premium sub and shop?
I think that whichever expansion was bad is really subjective. What I totally agree with is that WoW should be free to play. Especially with the this trend they starting : " We going to experiment…" No thanks not on my dime. Once you make it f2p then do all the experiments and live Beta testing you want.
No, I’m sorry, but that’s just way too easy of an explanation.
I’ve played every xpac from WotLK to now and by FAR the three xpac I love the most are WotLK, MoP, and Legion.
If it was as simple as “people just got rose tinted glasses!”, I would be praising Cataclysm, WoD or maybe even BFA.
I’m not. WoD to me is the worst WoW as ever been and it does not taste better even with the years passing.
Besides, I don’t remember any of the so called huge uproar you are describing for MoP.
When talking about MoP, the only argument you hear about it being bad is “Boooh Pandas bad, Boooh I hate Pandas”.
Everything else was loved by people who actually played the xpac, except, I guess, for the relatively poor ending they gave to Garrosh.
Besides that, the game had great storytelling, great gameplay, PvE and PvP both being in a good shape. It also introduced challenge mode, which is basically the first experiment leading to what we now know as M+, nothing less than the most popular game mode of retail WoW. (A mode that was perfected by Legion, the next best Xpac after MoP)
I personally won’t buy DF now, at least not in the first patch. I’d love to do it, but I don’t trust Blizard or the current reviews. I won’t believe how great it is until I see real reviews from real players. In the beginning about the SL they also said how perfect it was, everyone praised it and it was a lie. Same lie as Amazon’s RoP. Plus flying through wheels, if this is supposed to be a great mover, will soon be as annoying as Thorgast. It will be fun for a while, then a severe annoyance. Shadowlands made such a disaster in Lore that Wow will never recover from it. If the reviews from regular players after three months will be good, and if they fired the activist incompetent person and someone else started writing the lore, then maybe I’ll buy DF at some discount and look at WoW again for a while.
