i have 1.8k io iv done +19 on 4 dungeons and i keep getting declined on dungeons…what is wrong with ppl?
Other classes bring more group buffs to the table I guess.
Let’s see what 9.1 brings us preferably they will make skyfury baseline for ele to free up a talent slot and give us more utility to offer in pve.
Because there is 197578843 other DPS applying so the leader will just cherry pick the best.
And yet you post on your level 21 alt
Does it matter what char ppl posts on? his posting char isnt relevant for the topic at all.
You are sadly likely not the only one applying to those keys. It could just be a case of them not seeing. That, or they simply want a different comp. Perhaps they have a Fire Mage, and therefore do not need Ele’s AoE and Bloodlust.
They may have a Balance Druid for their damage and their combat res.
What if they need/want a melee? A battle shout from a Warrior or Mystic Touch from a Monk to help the hunters? A Death knight’s AMZ and grips to help with pulls? Maybe the tank isn’t a Demon Hunter and they need the magic damage debuff for their Warlocks, Mages and Balance druids?
iv just said im playing ele shaman with 1800io…your reply here is not relevant and you are only here to cause drama im sure
It’s normal being declined do you really think that your 1,8k rio means something? people are checking and picking the best possible combo not first person who que into their dungeon
I mean even as a shaman i wouldnt bring a dps shaman to m+ no matter how high your rio is. I would always go for fire mage it brings BL, int, awesome cc and immunity then my second rdps pick would be boomer because we all know why In my opinion you always want a mage which means picking an ele shaman would be kinda useless since the mage already brings all the support and does way more dps
It’s not a Shami thing why you get declined…
For good keys like Halls, Mists in +15 to +19 there are easy 30+ players signing in less than 1 minute…
Shaman is in a very good spot but if you have done like 20 keys intime over 15+ maybe less and there is a mage, boomie or other shami with 50+ dungeons intime done…
Who would you pick?..
I would wait 3 more minutes and if no better mage/boomie queues then id take the ele.
If the boomie/mage has the same rating/completed as the ele then id always pick boomie/mage over ele
Gor St ye right a good ele can outdps a mage immo on ST
If they have a shaman healer also. So many reasons. Don’t read between lines that don’t exist.
Even if ele is doing good st damage fire mage wins in aoe,cc and survivability and on top of that he brings lust and a sweet little int buff.
Mmm ele shamans brings earthbind, ancestral, also Lust, and btw you dont need freaking 50k AOE dps to complete a dungeon immo just saying and at survivalability yes mage wins big time. For the rest nope.
Well the post is about high keys and for me a high key is +20.
So ele has a slow totem that is bound to a place while mage has dragons breath which is a aoe disorient on a 25sec cd, frost nova, sheep, decurse and spellsteal which is a better version of purge.
I know ele has decurse too and hex but hex has a CD. If AoE doesn’t matter why do you think all meta classes have uncapped aoe?
1800 RIO isn’t uncommon, so not only will you have competition from people with equal or higher, but also the fact that LFG allows leaders to cherry-pick based on whatever other reasons they wish, be it RIO specific, comp specific, or whatever.
For example, headed to TOP18 tonight with a Prot Warrior who specifically wanted a DK, SP and either a Rog or Retri in the last slot, with me as RSham Healer. One can point out many reasons why they’d want those specific factors this week, and just as many reasons as to why none of them are mandatory - but it was their lobby and their decision, because LFG is (ultimately) a player-choice tool.
Had a key before that where the leader was specifically targeting twinks - players with decent RIO on their mains but were singing up with lower-RIO alts. Don’t ask me why, because I never bothered to ask them why. It was their choice to do so and was my choice to stay despite it.
My groups typically start with me and my friend and wife filling 3 slots vdh/guardian + resto shaman + moonkin/elemental/havoc. I’ll decide how many melee/ranged I want, whether I want a combat rez, whether I need any specific abilities such as a CC or soothe based on affixes and dungeon. Then I’ll look at all the item levels for the sub set of specs I’m interested in, then I’ll check their rio for experience of mythic+ (not just the score), then I may double check they are the spec I want by referring to rio website, then I’ll invite.
So not being picked on your elemental shaman is because I want a melee, I want a combat rez, I need a specific CC, I need a specific purge type, or I have better ranged candidates in the list.
The advice I have, is make your own group, preferably with some friends (add to friend list tanks/healers/dps you have enjoyed grouping with).
Fixed that for you
