If i get battle for azeroth is teldrassil destroyed as soon as i start playing the game?

I love teldrassil, but if i get the battle for azeroth will it be destroyed as soon as i open the game for first time?

No, it will happen when you reach level 110. And since, for some idiotic reason that made it so that the questline where it actually happens was a limited time event, it will just happen “off-screen” for you.

By the way, you can talk to an NPC to “travel back in time” to the old, intact version.

Yes. I have done this.

So even at 120, Teldrassil is still here for me, and that’s where I log out and log in again. Nothing beats waking up in the peaceful Temple of Elune and then walking out the door to the trumpets of Darnassus!

So carry on to 110 and beyond, talk to the dragon NPC near Lor’danel, and try to forget that incident - like a really bad episode of a TV series.

Same goes for Undercity, BTW.

In general, out of all the capital cities, Darnassus has always been my favorite. Looks so nice, small and open enough that you can find everything easily and quickly, but still feels huge and not claustrophobic.

Level 110 is what you need.

Yes, as Lysende said, the burning of Teldrassil happens when you are 110, and even after that, you can just decide always to see it as it should be before the story went bad.

At this point, I REALLY think there should be a feature in the game so you can follow the story better. Even if it’s just a letter from a panda lorewalker when you reach a certain level, like “HAVE YOU HEARD WHAT HAPPENED? I can show you if you visit me”. Like, a lot of these were removed from the game such as the Wrath gate event and the Burning of Teldrassil, and some, while they are still in the game, are not as straight-forward to find, and in some cases, require levels that are not consistent with the story order (like the bombing of Theramore).
