If the Maruuk would join Horde as Allied Race in the Future, I would be tempted to join the Horde

I mean, think about the possibilities. The racials especially.

Just to throw some ideas into the room, Maruuk Centaur as allied races could have:

  • Increased base movement speed (speed stat default bonus)
  • Ability to carry an ally with them like a ground mount for 2 (Sand-Drake, etc.)
  • Bonuses to Tailoring and Cooking
  • Active Combat Ability - Hoof hit - Kick with your frontal/back hooves and stun a target for [value] seconds. [1-2 Minute CD]

I know the Orcs and Trolls have a moved past with the Centaur in the past, but the fact those are different tribes could help from a lore perspective to establish them.

Regarding transmogs it could either be handled like with the Dracthyr (either Armor/Cloths via Barber/Editor or base editor options and only 4 slots for body - helmet/shoulders/arms/chest)

Regarding classes, I don’t think there would be much work to be done. Some animation changes for certain classes (like Hunter) could work enough. Now, when it comes to Warriors with their Jump Ability, Idk how to solve that… Or Priests…

Thoughts? Would you like them to be an Allied Race?

Yeah, they seem kind of cool. Well, honestly I can see the new art direction cause you almost can’t tell genders often, okay I guess, they are a different species. Ignoring that I like the design. However it wouldn’t make much sense for them to join any faction since they seem to like to keep to their own ecosystem. But we could have the tribes in Kalimdor join the Horde.

I’d still like to see playable ogres however, so if there’s a line for allied races that need to be added, I’d say they get behind ogres.

To be fair, that’s what I could say about every Forsaken. Not a fan of Undead, yet I have to see them almost every time in WoW :wink:

When will we get the Vrykul and Ogres :pleading_face:

They could be added after cataclysm instead adding pandaren
