Classic players will play both anyway as soon as the hype is over. And on release no matter what topic the majority will play on retail so or so.
I really want to come back and enjoy retail, but I just love the original rogue talents and playstyle so much more than the 3 PVP / 3 PVE viable specs with guns and pistols, ambushing with 2 swords and all the other ridiculousness. (the self healing is the worst :D).
However i’d love a death to all, respawn as level 1 in shadowlands approach

Not if those leaks are true. They pretty much slaughter everything that is good with WoW with Shadowlands.
Shadowland leaks stated that sylvanas plans on attacking thunderbluff, but instead will lead the army of the horde into stormwind.
She’s gone dude. That leak was a fake.

“if those leaks are true”. I hear that sentence every couple years and yet they always fail to deliver. Wait til the Blizzcon. Shadowlands may very well be comming next as a filler xpac or introduction xpax but whats in it is completely up for debate. Not to mention its the wotlk/mop/legion team working on it

No, i simply quit retail after the disastrous launch of BFA, only unlocked zandalary troll and will not come back at 9.0, i ll wait beta test and couple of month before even thinking of puting a foot back in retail.
(dont be trumped i liked a lot legion was hyped for BFA because of legion and i was hoping blizzard was going in the right direction aaaaaaand nope !)

yes there has never been a leak thats 100% true. so sylv did not fake march to thunder bluff and all.
but it the leak it was never said that she went to SW with a army of horde. we all now know (spoiler) that she has a pack with azsharha ane it has yet to bear fruit. so she could march to SW with naga amd an amry of death.
i still belive shadowlands is thrue we just donts know when.

And I don’t mean argumentation like “MOP class design good, Legion class design bad”. I mean what specifically is different that makes you believe MOP was superior to Legion.
I could cite one reason : Pruning killed every classes in Legion
and class identity became spec identity. Removing of pvp vendors, removing of a lot of customization when it comes to your build.
There are countless reasons as to why mop was basically the peak of WoW DESPITE the new trash talent tree that ofc upset me and many others.
You can also do some research if you truly don’t know enough about MoP.
Youre the minority with that mindeset tho. I wasnt fond of Legions Legendary system, but thats one point.
Prunning happened before Legion. The biggest prunning happened in WoD.
Oh yeah, you had to fight with baseline stats so you coudnt BS your way to the top with Brokenly OP PvE items anymore. Or bully people in BGs. The horror. And dont even attempt to deny that wasnt the case. The Raiding items have been a thorn in every PvPers eyes for ages. Especially during Cata where it was brought to a whole new level of BS.
And customization was always an illusion. There was always cookie cutter builds. Back in vanilla all the way til now. You either speced these numbers overall or into this for boss X and this for boss Y.

Hes asking YOU why YOU think it was superior. He may very well know everything about MoP but that doesnt change the point of his question. Im asking you the same and i have played the entirety of MoP without a single break (i also preffer MoP over all other xpacs, but that doesnt answer the question about YOUR opinion and thoughts)

I hate arguing with casuals that ofc love every change that make their lazy life and desire for rewards with no work a reality.
