People who perform on higher level than me don’t make nonsensical complaints such as your kind, but rather provide valuable and constructive, rightful feedback. (they actually belong posting here).
Unfortunately, Blizzard tends to ignore them as well exactly because of people like you because to them a “player is a player” regardless of their experience, your subscription money is as good as that of a rank 1.
That doesn’t mean that your opinion is even remotely valid or adequate, though.
I could quote so much more since you are raging every single time everyone proves you wrong.
You always keep saying someone is making stuff up meanwhile you instant backpaddle when you get proven wrong. You wait a while and then you claim same bs over and over again. You are so boring actually.
Because something is hard to someone who has no skills at X, it doesn’t mean it’s a fact.
I can’t draw a stickman, it doesn’t mean it’s hard.
which is what me and others also have been saying for quite some time now. So me sharing the same opinion as him, which dates back to legion for me personally is not remotely valid or adequate. I guess him and many others of his skill level are also making “nonsensical complaints”.
Imagine thinking that your opinion is less valid than mine. You guys should make a guild together where you can all be condescending towards others and think you’re all that.
…This guy is saying that the pvp gearing is bad, which is lowkey true.
He is absolutely not saying that you can’t push up at a gear disadvantage.
I am EVEN GOING TO QUOTE HIM FROM THE POST YOU LINK ME:
“where you’re forced to play versus players that may have 10-15 or even 20 ilevel on you, making pushing certain ratings extremely difficult (particularly 2.4k).”.
Are you 2.4 or anywhere near it? Is that person saying that you can’t get at least 2.1k at a gear disadvantage?
CERTAIN RATINGS. PARTICULARLY ABOVE 2.4. This ON IT’S VERY OWN, following logic, dictates that you can get all the way up to 2.4 with a “10-15 or even 20 ilvl difference”.
That person is 3.1k rated, he is talking about games at the VERY TOP of the ladder, 2.4k+, where you INDEED need to have equal gear because the people you face are ACTUALLY GOOD and have KEYBINDS.
Must I caps lock more for you?
As I’ve stated, you absolutely can get, this late into the season, 2k~ at a gear disadvantage if you put in some effort.
You must understand that this has nothing to do with arrogance. If a person who has never played soccer in their life walks into the room where the entire team of Manchester United is and starts making nonsensical claims about the game they’ve been playing their entire lives on a professional, competitive level, they will laugh him out of there as well and completely disregard him.
Your opinion is only “valid” for as long as you’ve actually played and competed.
Could actually link a post from Venruik about Legion how bad and boring it was, where people said they wanted vendors, rating upgrades etc.
People will always find a reason to complain, it’s absolutely nothing new. It’s just like this guy is complaining about gear right now. The moment you show him it’s possible, he complains about the spec…
Imagine not understanding what you quoted. Congratulations. Perhabs you should actually read more of his posts in that thread.
Yes you can, but it’s way harder because of how the gearing works at the moment than it needs to be. It’s become just a huge and tedious grind, and I personally do not enjoy that. It’s even more tedious if you have to go through LFG where people leave all the time after 1 loss.
My spriest was the first class I played on when I came back late this season. It wasn’t a pleasant experience in 2s. Many mistakes on my part when it comes to not anticipating the high damage meta, so many arms/healer teams which I struggle alot against as shadow and the LFG experience. I didn’t want to play it anymore at the time being.
I had no trouble reaching 1400 in no time in 197 gear on my feral a few weeks ago.
Okay, but what do you want Blizzard to do about it, change the entire game so that you feel comfortable with it? That’s their current philosophy, people who don’t enjoy it should obviously just take a break for a while until it changes. I’m not happy with the system either, I’d rather have WoTLK system where particular gear pieces were rating locked. Belt at 1300, boots 1400 and so on.
It changes every xpac as per feedback. People wanted BfA scaling gone and wanted no “welfare loot” and gear to matter again.
So they made this. Slow gearing, no scaling (hence low ilvl ppl get one shot) and so on. I am not saying it was the perfect solution, far from it - but that’s what we got.
If you want to get up higher, hit me up and I will help you get higher - have hpala both alliance and horde.
What I personally want is going back to what worked well. Just a honor and conquest set, with either scaling or a pvp stat. Which alot of people have been advocating for since Legion. But Blizzard has to reinvent the wheel and come up with new things, instead of going back to what worked.
I might hit you up on that offer. One of the biggest reasons why I hate this season is because of LFG. I’ve come across some people I did really well with, added them but they quit playing. Then the process starts all over again, alot of the times ending up with people who aren’t very good. Which is fine, since we’ve all been there. But you tank rating and can’t upgrade, which is the most annoying part for me this season.
As soon as you hit 1.4 you should camp there until you have a full set of 207 (I didn’t do this because I cba and only log this alt to play arena with randoms when I’m bored) in order to make it easier for you if you want to have as much advantage as possible. Use RBG yolo to get the honor you need to upgrade or just do random casual BGs.
LFG is bad, yes. On this low geared alt I played always with the person who queued first in LFG, and very frequently I got 1k CR neg win ratio ppl for several games → tanked down. Then someone who could “kind of” play came along, climb back up with him etc.
The best thing to do is to find stable partners to queue with. That’s how the glads do it, that’s how the rank 1s do it etc. They are well-networked and have stable, solid partners to push with.
Also, this is hands down the hardest season to get rating in since… since I remember really (?) for ppl who fell behind the curve. I’ve never seen so many negative win ratio ppl stuck on 1.3/1.4 etc. It is rough, but it’s doable. It’s not impossible.
And that’s pretty much what I meant aswell. Perhabs it’s a language issue on my part. I might have overreacted on the forum on my spriest when I was frustrated, but this season is way harder because of how gearing works. It’s doable sure, but for me personally also frustrating due to how it works at the moment. There’s more to it than just gearing issue.
I usually am willing to give anyone a chance if they sign up (well, not anymore if their rating is much much lower because of the points). Sometimes it works, alot of times it doesn’t. Which is fine, but since you need rating for gear it’s not enjoyable for me.
Unlike what the hunter thinks, it has nothing to do with thinking I belong at a much higher rating. I end up where I end up, i just want a more enjoyable experience. I also care for a healthy PvP experience, which at the moment it isn’t for alot of people. We need more people for PvP, not drive them away because they have a miserable experience
The point is that this would mirror the lfg experience of about 99% of the players who play through lfg on a lower ilvl toon.
The videos points are always trying to debunk the fact that you don’t need gear to climb the ladder then proceeds with:
shadow priest in ilvl 200
-arena master friend / partner with either high ilvl or 210 ilvl
My point would be if they want to proof skill only matters, then they should not always try to cheat the reality of people who complain about this stupid alt gearing system.
it is not about getting 2k.
You can get to 2k once you upped your gear enough on the journey till 2k.
It is a problem to reach 1.6k depending what you play.
Certain classes have a much harder time to get to 1.6k without gear.
So far I tested:
-priest (heal or shadow) works well
-BM hunter works well, MM hunter is lacking the finisher, SV does not enough burst and healers don’t live long enough, cannot kill anything against double hybrid.
-Resto Shaman works fine
-mage work well
-rogue works well
-DH works well
in 190 gear? doubt it.
Maybe if decent = normally plays on glad and plays also with another player that normally is high rated.
you know LFG is so dead that you really cannot choose the comp you play or anything, so you can only take whatever you get and you are in for a treat. Maybe you are lucky and find a decent healer / dd.
If you are an average 1.8-2k player got 190-200 ilvl (covenant honor mix) on a gabanzo class (a non play making class) and take any healer you can find to climb, good luck with that haha. You maybe reach it eventually because you upped your gear from the conquests and after reaching 1.4k and upgrading stuff to 207
Before you reach it you maybe throw you computer out of the window or something because it is negative fun =)
? I am 190 gear and I am 1.6. What are you talking about? And it wasn’t even that hard. Also, I am one of the classes which you listed as feeling “terrible”?
I listed the classes I tested.
Basically all healers are viable to easy go up.
Palas are also S tier healers, so whats so hard about that?
I did the same with my holy priest, because guess what, healers are not so gear dependent into healer/dps comps at least.
Also as healer you easily find higher geared dps players because there are like 0 healers in lfg, but you know that already and just want to troll so whatever =)
Uh, no. Pala is definitely not S tier in 2v2, educate yourself. It’s the worst healer after MW. Watch any relevant streamer and they’ll tell you the same. Pala is played in 3v3 because it has hard stops for damage with sac ETC.
And no, “alL HeALErS aRe EaSy tO ClimB” is an absolutely retarded statement, sorry to say that. You’re the one trolling and blaming gear for your inadequate gameplay.
Practice more and I’m sure you’ll climb regardless of your gear. You are a 1750 max EXP-ed in 2v2 and at 1.6 with 210 ilvl.
If it’s so easy, make a hpala/rshaman/rdruid or whatever (or hpriest, even if that’s THE meta 2v2 spec atm) and push. Get back to me when you’re 1.6 with 190 gear on healer.
