Then armory should not show our profile. And RIo / checkpvp fr should not gather our profile data.
What is the point of hide profile if you are just gonna hide the link in forums…?

Hidden is for the forums. I thought you could stop people accessing your character via the API but not your profile.

Yes this should be hidden.
It is for both,
If you select hidden profile (profile is armory) it will also give you a message profile hidden and you cannot see history and the link to click profile is also gone.
In my optinion we should be able to completely hide our profile from forums stalkers and rio/check pvp.
I don’t believe that there’s any way to hide your armory, but you can turn off sharing data with 3rd party sites so that check PvP, raider io and so on cannot get your data. Although I am not sure if this hides data that is already on those sites. You can also set up a profile on raider io to hide your characters - I have no idea if there is a similar thing on check pvp.

I dont see the need tbh, but then again i dont feel any need to hide my profile at all. If people wanna armory shame me then go ahead. I couldnt care less.
If you want to avoid rio spying on you, I’m afraid the only way is to make an account on their site, link your profile and disable it from their end.
Even disallowing community developers access from your blizzard account settings won’t do a thing.
I think this needs to be done. It ensures privacy of users.
They should also make account wide ignore with this one.
