Where is WoW 2
meanwhile Square Enix presents FFXVI
I mean really, why isn’t there more games in WoW universe?

if wow is so great, there’s no need for a wow2
If wow is so great then why is the sky blue? If FFXIV is so amazing then why does gravity pull you downwards. Can we please stop with all these FFXIV is amazing wow sucks or FFXIV sucks wow is amazing threads? It is so so tiring. Keep the discussion in one thread each please.
I would prefer WoW single player ARPG, not another MMORPG.

There’s even a 3rd one if you can believe it!
wow is so great that 10.0.0 will be last xpac of wow
wow is that great that 2023 blizzard will not exist nomore …
FFXVI not FFXVI, do you even numbers?
Final Fantasy is a single player franchise for the most part. So if they want to expand on the franchise the best way to do this is with separate instalments to make use of progressing technologies and different tastes with regards to mechanics, aesthetics etc.
You usually follow a pre-made character on their adventures through a world. When the game is finished, you leave this character.
WoW on the other hand is a service game. The draw is doing things on an existing character with other people in a persistent world. The character is customised by you to add a personal connection, and this character and their progress through time and different expansions is taken along for as long as you want.
The world itself will not be replaced, but only amended by new iterations of the game, which is why MMOs go with an “expansion” model rather than completely new games.
Can’t really compare FF to WoW just because one (or maybe two) game in that franchise is an MMO
An ARPG in the Warcraft universe would actually be kind of cool. I’d still want to play with friends though.
Because atmosphere scatters short light wavelenghts better and your eye is more sensible to blue than violet or indigo (because you have a lot of blue cones in your retina).
because time slows down near massive objects. Your feet (or whatever is closer to earth) experience time differently than your head and this creates “gravity”.
There is a lot of potential for WoW as franchise to expand from ARPGS to RPGS instead they just keep feeding us with some washed down story which only exists to support their next genius idea of next iteration of borrowed powers
I imagine a Mass Effect style Third Person ARPG, but in the Warcraft setting with Warcraft classes. Maybe with some sort of “open” multiplayer and story progression like Borderlands, and Diablo style random level generator for more replayability?
Something decently paced action-y that is not isometric view would be nice tbh.
I don’t get why blizz don’t make animated TV shows/films. Loads of other game studios do like dota, league, resident evil, witcher, final fantasy. Imagine a 12 episode series of WoTLK showing Arthas rise and fall. Dump it on netflix and enjoy all the new players, merchandise sales etc. Seems crazy to me that they haven’t even bothered.
I mean FF is an rpg spanning the best part of 30 years., numerous spin offs and some of the most hyped games in existence. WoW was a strategy game, of which there were 3 games.
Plus I am pretty sure they’re developing Warcraft games currently?
I agree, they are mismanaging the IP, but I don’t think they are even capable of writing a story that’s good enough for a single player game.
What?
I loved this game! And obviously also Beyond the dark portal.
Be careful what you wish for.
