on a side note! why would you expect WOW the virtual world to be different from reality? so you want to put effort in gaining things"farm" to use it? did you create the bed youâre sleeping on everyday did you create the PC youâre using to play? WHY did you pay money to get that?! Why did you pay for the clothes youâre wearing? why do you buy food instead of cooking it yourself? why didnât you make it all by yourself! the game is not different from reality, you either use time or use money and it depends.
So NOT everyone able to do everything on his own! and not everyone wants to use time instead of using money! this is why people buy gold then they login game to only enjoy playing without bother about camping a mine/spam hitting mobs or running to find herbsâŚetc
anyway there are thousands of gold being sold over black markets for wow classic everyday, adding tokens means nothing but to control the gold selling.

I donât care if people cheat in singleplayer games. Actually it can be quite fun to mess around with cheats. But in online games and especially in MMOs this shouldnât be a thing.

Of course I didnât build the hardware of my computer by myself, I bought those pieces just like I buy stuff in WoW. My guild leader is a very skilled alchemist, so I talk to him when I need a flask. My Wolfshead Helm was made by a random leatherworker and I paid gold for it, because Iâm not a leatherworker by myself.
The thing is that people in RL and WoW trade and cooperate by using their own ressources and abilities within the system. Buying gold in WoW is like⌠idk there are no cheats in the real world. Just imagine you could bribe god to hand out stuff. It would mess up the whole place. Paying a stranger euros for a new computer is not compareable to RMT in a MMO.
They can f off to retail if they donât wanna play the damn game but want all the bonuses of playing it.
So how does âcontroling the marketâ change the problem?
Its still wrong, its still harming the game and the community and even more people are doing it.
I donât care if Xiao Xang or the idiot with the long hair @ blizzard does profit from it.

I understand the worry but Chinaâs gaming market is vastly vastly different in terms of MTX engagement levels and Chinaâs wow community werent as hardcore about not having tokens in classic unlike the west so donât stress Blizzard are fully aware that it would be a massive dealbreaker for A LOT of players.
This a 100%, adding tokens wont do anything for the economy that isnât already being done by people selling/buying gold as it is.
How people do not understand this is beyond me.

Your logic is flawed because as of right now there is a fraction of players who would MTX because they dont want to risk their accounts but if introduced those players would be totally free to buy/sell tokens left and right therefore killing the economy just like retail did in a month of it coming out.

Tokens did no such thing in retail, it made prices spike for a week at max before they settled back down to normal market value.

Is that why low level greens are now worth hundreds of gold and big blizzard bear went from 800k-1m to 8m-10m?
If you didnt know that when the token came out it spiked the economy then you are either lying to yourself or are just blind.

This is because its getting harder and harder to find codes for it that still work. (IRL price for that bear atm is almost 600 dollars btw because its EXTREMELY rare)

I would MUCH rather buy safe gold to pay for my repairs/consumables when raiding with the guild and level alts instead of grinding endlessly for black lotuses, then running scholo to craft flasks and then sell those. With server pops and competition for herbs being as high as they are itâs getting to a breaking point working full time and then grind this much. You would STILL have to raid/pvp to get good gear, having time for other stuff would be welcome.

I hope they do introduce it to the EU I donât want to spend actual money on a sub to a game that is 13 years old but I do enjoy playing it on and off.
I hope they add tokens and I hope they add actual health displayed on mobs, cast bars in the game also and many other things that should be in the game. Itâs like people are deluding themselves that these things are not going on behind the scenes, like people are not buying gold on 3rd party sites or having to download addons to have a remotely decent experience.
Itâs a weird deluded purist way of viewing the game that some people have, this is not vanilla and so far it has not been authentic in the slightest this Classic experience isnât true to the original version of the game at all, I donât see any reason why Blizzard shouldnât change what they want with the game.

Token killed Retail. See the state of 8.3 in Retail, itâs basicly a pay to win with BoE Corruption and the amount of booster / boosting that happen every single minute. I donât want that for Classic TBC and Wrath !

It was not the wowtoken that âprintedâ gold ingame, it was goldmissions, and even today you can easily make 2000 fast from dailies, wowtoken do not add gold, so if anything gets more expensive its because of inflation and how easy it is to farm gold.

I did warn about this that it would only be a matter of time before this greedy company would implement such things into this game.
It was made on 7.3+ game client with all the âgoodiesâ already in place. They wont hesitate to ruin the game in order to get more money.
