Learn from it is a good point tho, if they Just destro you, they have to play in a certain manner to do so, which gives you Great practice on how to counter it, or a good pointer of how you Can try to adapt their play style \o/
There’s nothing to learn from being globaled by a rank 1 team man. I’m sorry but there just isn’t.
Disagree.
An odd game here and there against a team that’s far out of your skill level doesn’t really give anything, you just get smashed (been there done that many years ago).
In order to truly learn from “it” you need to play with and against players who are just slightly better than you. Continue this learning-spiral and eventually you’re the best.
I might Just have a different view on it compared to the majority, but usually when me and my friends que into r1 booster teams or far Superior players in general, we get more focused on seeing how they position differently etc
You know, a rank one title on a class doesn’t give you a damage buff allowing to deal 500% more damage than a non rank one, and global him.
In most cases you get R1 by having great knowledge of the general game, of all specs, and of the current meta. You also need to master your class and its interactions with allies and enemies. Last you need to know the win conditions of the comp you play, defuse the ones of the enemy comp, and put yourself in the winning scenario TOGETHER WITH YOUR ALLIES. You don’t solowin high level games, it’s a team effort.
All of that means that while R1 players know more and are mechanically better, if they boost in 2s say Rdruid Mage and the Mage is a total dummy he won’t know the best time to use defensives, he won’t anticipate, he won’t make crazy R1 plays, he won’t take advantage of the druid stuns as he should, he will never manage to fake …
And this is why you have a chance to win. Because it’s one good player in the team, compensating for a horrible one, so, you have to capitalize on everything the boostee does wrong. If you play the game the booster wants you to, you will lose. Exploit the weak link. A rank one doesn’t win by the secret hidden rank one power, he wins the boost games because he can maneuver the opposing team in losing situations that even his boostee can exploit. Just bully the boostee so that he can’t take advantage.
It may be “easier said than done” but if you focus your attention on the guy that leads the dance and follow his tempo, you will end up defeated.
And of course as said above you learn by understanding how the booster defeated you while he was kind of alone setting stuff up, or how he tried to if you won.
Then you’ll never get good at the game
C’mon drae you abandoned ally too?
What Shade said.
Game is literally in its most idiot friendly state and we still get posts like this lmfao.
I remember being able to 1v2 with ease in arena and 1vX in BG’s in WoD and previous, now 1 mong with full gushing gets on you and it’s just outhealable damage solo.
My main characters are still and will forever be Alliance
Well… atleast until blizz gives Horde races that are as cool as alliance races
By going into that mind state that r1’s are undefeatable you’re never gonna improve.
I can’t tell how many times this season I’ve destroyed loony/thesiou and other r1’s simply cuz they are boosting and slightest mistake makes them lose.
I am by no means r1 player( i try my best tho ) but i do see mistakes.
If you don’t wanna improve you’ll never gonna reach higher rating.
Even r1’s lose if they mess up.
Facing rank 1s when you’re say 2k+ or something isn’t really the same as facing them if you’re 1500. You wont learn anything because they’re so far above you that you wont even know what you did wrong/ they did right.
Theres nothing wrong in asking them after the game tho. Alot of them even take the time and give you a few pointer.
You literally learn by playing against people of your own skill level until you know how to beat them, and then advance upwards???
That’s like if you go to a driving school and the instructor puts you into a Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor Fighting Jet and tells you to “just learn”. You’re gonna look about and go “well this is pointless, I don’t get any of it” because YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO. You’re supposed to start small and slowly pick up the pace. Not be tossed right into a pool of sharks.
An actual solution to OP complaining would be making Gladiator top 0.5% again, but nope let’s ban them all
Of course nobody takes you serious like that
That’s a terrible metaphor.
Starting out slow is right, remaining slow is not. You become better by learning from fighting stronger opponents, fighting your own skill level makes you improve only slightly. In all things, you’ve gotta leave your zone of comfort to start adapting and improving.
imagine thinking you can learn anything playing against r1 players in 3v3 when ure not at least 2.7k, below that youre just gonna lose the game on the first mistake ure gonna do since theyre gonna snowball off that, just lose in opener and learn 4head
the more mistake you do in one game and the more you learn, what are you gonna learn if you lose on ur first mistake? nothing
and as usual shadenox posting 10 millions character to talk about 2s when OP is talking about 3s, megacringe
You will learn not to repeat that mistake. If you can’t understand this… sorry you’re dumb.
you fixed 1 “mistake” playing against r1 players while u could fix at least 10 playing against normal players
but yea playing against r1 players is pretty good for improvment i guess, math checks out - shadenox
also if ur gonna quote 1 sentence in my posts just to reply with garbage again dont ever quote me ty
If you make 10 mistakes and youre still not punished by losing then it wont make you to fix your mistakes or its also possible you wouldnt even realise you did something wrong since you got away with that many times. On the other hand it depends on matchup you play since some matchups can go to deep dampening and unless you mess up rly hard you wont die even if you play poorly till deep damp.
