So Blizzard hope you are not thinking about doing something crazy, unhappy customers sound the loudest and hope you dont cater to them. All they want to do is sit in Stormwind, do their daily grinds and then log off, they dont play for social interactions and are usually the first players that unsub when they steal all the bis items from their guilds.
Bring RDF in ICC or not at all, since you go for the principal of ”some changes”, then i suggest wait for cata. RDF is what killed wow, it made the community engage for a couple of months but it didnt last long. Cata would have been a better expansion without it.
So rdf = classic andys quit and we are your biggest supporters. Cards are on your table.
It will litterally kill the world that is not Northrend since ppl will dungeon spam.
Yesterday we formed a group in uldaman, did badlands chain quests, and after that we went to zul’farrak and all of the sudddn all of us were in the same discord. Does that happen with rdf? No.
Sure add it in icc if you have to as a catch up mechanic, but not now, not at all.
It will actually make it more enjoyable to explore the world doing quests, and queue when you feel like doing so without the need to run back and camp a summoning stone. Currently, the lack of RDF while leveling really makes it harder to do world content like crafting/pvp etc, as it takes so much time forming a group… And so much time running back and forth between the dungeon, and the quest objectives.
I think new and fresh content each expansion will be most populated and it makes sense to have no RDF for that content. But old vanilla/TBC content, not so much. It only makes the quest experience much worse.
Individual cases of Feast does not carry to everyone. Your microcosm experience is not reflective of the macrocosm. It also isn’t a portent of the future, it is a single happening on a single day.
There are many reasons why some characters are getting dungeons, a new expansion so people are levelling alts, but bigger then that there is the The XP Buff.
By the time RDF was introduced in WotLK there were many barriers for dungeons, achievements being one, having the gear another. These were times of Famine
The toxicity of the WoW classic player community for WotLK Classic is way ahead of where it was in WotLK OG and the expansion hasn’t been released.
It may be Feast time now, but be assured for a a decent proportion of the player base Famine times are ahead if it even half follows the original experience.
I won’t quit. Absolutely don’t care as I joined to play with a group. If that group stops playing, I’m out for that reason.
If something like RDF is going to make you quit, you better quit now as something will be done that you don’t like.
It is probably people like you that make it so mining nodes are absolute trash and so players feel the need to bot that…yeah the amount of bots is insane. Make mining/herb like retail in that it can be tapped multiple times and they are not as rare is actually a QOL thing that’s good for the game.
This suggests that low level dungeons and questing are a worthless throwaway part of the game that can be skipped over by RDF dungeon grinding.
In classic, the leveling experience is a legitimate and fully fledged part of the game, not something that should be seen merely as a necessary evil.
When you add RDF, you kill the open world. That’s something we know because it’s exactly what happened to retail when RDF was added. It’s not just some harmless little tool that helps people group. It tears apart the entire fabric of the open world gameplay because with it, the primary means of playing goes from world-based to lobby-based. People sit in cities and just bash through dungeons.
I will only write about my activities. I never sit in SW or any other city while using RDF, i use it so i could do something else, like gathering materials for profession, doing dailys or just quests for gold. In my opinion pple that sit in major cities are those social ones that spam all the channel with some crappy thoughts that doesnt bring anything to community. I personally cant quest and follow LFG channel in the same time, besides its kinda pointless to start anything if in couple minuts ill have to run to summoning stone - if i find a group. Now its pretty easy to find group (i play on fresh server) so its just the case of running to dungeon and then coming back to place where you started - best option really is just to sit in major city till you get group and get summoned/go to summon. But in few months getting a group together will become real nigtmare cos everyone will be in raid gear or pvp gear and noone will need hc gear. Its not something i just pull out of my sleeve, in original WOTLK i did server first naxramass, that dragon (forgot his name) and first level 80 paladin. I mainly do instances with guild, so there isnt much socializing during instance, but couple pugs i did was like hello and ty bb, nothing else. To me RDF changes nothing in social sphere of the game, it only makes running dungeons more enjoyable and makes me do more of them.
Forcing pple to socialize through not giving some tool is just wrong and im totally against it.
If it isnt obvious i vould like RDF to be in the game.
about constant spam of complainig retail andies that demand RDF … then they will demand LFR … and RUIN THE GAME AGAIN …
so they need to be opposed, even if devs sayd that RDF is harmful to the game and they have no plans to put it in game unless we protest the RDF andies constantly they might get persuaded, so we have to stand watch and show anyone seeing this that RDF is NOT wanted…
no they wont, they will sit AFK and wait for the prompt … and no they wont wait for 40 minutes, RDF = cross server = 5-10 minutes tops IF you play at something like 3 in the morning …
Ruin the game? Did You see the boosting / GDKP spam? What do You think will the endgame in wotlk look like. I cant wait for healers to sell their services because they are so hard to find as everybody wants to be a dk or ret pala. TBC was selling tank services and now healers.
