You wont have people FOTM changing factions if there are no factions to join
That’s right. You also won’t have people FOTM rerolling classes if there are no classes.
But that would suck!
A certain MMO found the middle ground by letting 1 character be all the classes at the same time
Yeah that’s a common design. I wouldn’t want it for WoW though. I like that my character has an identity as a spellcaster and can’t just forget that and grow huge muscles in 5 minutes.
Muscles are overated.
Every Gnome, Goblin or Vulpera can confirm that
Don’t get me started…
And Tauren rogues…
Yeah, I don’t like those things, either.
Blizzard are being a little ridiculous with this stuff. And then they simultaneously add Drac’thyr. Design direction not found error 404.
404 not found because bad SSL certificate. Get that outta here!
I’ve got mixed feelings about it. In theory yes, in practice, I’m struggling to see how they could fit that in the current game form. In the context of a new solo rpg or wow scenario, absolutely!
I’d like to see some more flexibility in story telling though. Taurens and night elves uniting to solve some relevant common issue (outside of the cenarion circle druid business) but in the process creating tension and conflict amongst the broader factions.
So far faction conflict has been very “stop start” without particularly interesting stories being told in game. We hate each other. We’re all friends now, oh never mind now we hate each other again, oh hold on cease fire!
That story where forsaken tried to meet old friends and family was really good, but it was in a book.
100%, but also I’d have liked the option from now on. I am the hero of the world now, I have worked with both Alliance and Horde. Having a faction seems weird. I’m more akin to Argent Crusade.
I like factions. I’d say more factions you can choose from. And all opposing.
If it would work? Dunno
