If you decided on what games to be made at Blizzard

If you were top honcho , the big cheese who got to greenlight games and projects been made. What new games would Blizz be developing right now you would to play.

It can be new Ip , games from the Ips we already have.

Here’s mine. I would love , truly love a single player open world action rpg from the Warcraft Universe. Like a skyrim , loads of dialogue choise. Zones from wow expanded to have more settlements etc. Since the WoW team have adamantly said there will never be a wow 2 . Just imagine an unreal 5 single player warcraft game i would love it.

I love starcraft , I love starcraft universe. Give me a Starcraft 3 ! Again a single player RPG , kinda like mass effect but in the Starcraft universe. You’re on a ship with companions as you travel around to different planets etc.

Overwatch single player game , if you can’t do it for OW2 , get a seperate team. Do a single player game with the same graphics as their cinematics and I would buy up instantly.

I know blizz hates the concept of single player in their games. I’m getting older and grey , I do appreciate just my time alone in a game these days. Same in wow , if i’m not doing keys. I’m mostly solo content with spotify on.

Let’s hear some of your ideas ?!

If anyone where ever going to make this. I would want it too be blizzard…

A true and awesome VRmmorpg game… If they ever did a wow2? Id hope it was an awesome VR game. An awesome VR mmo the world had never seen before.

If anyone where to do it right? it would be blizzard. I have faith in that.

I am an avid VR believer xD I think VR is the next level to experience games. And if anyone where to make a proper VR mmo? Id put my faith in Blizzard.

Ghost or some Starcraft shooter in the same vein as the recent Space Marines 40k 2 which was immensely popular.

I would also love a warcraft/WoW single player RPG.

I’m not big into survival games on the whole but I would have loved to see what the team came up with.

I would probably try any Blizzard title. That’s not to say I’d enjoy it. I basically play WoW and that’s what I like. So MMO like or even like others have suggested a single player version.

I’m still disappointed they canceled that survival game, it sounded interesting and would have been a new IP, in an industry that is way to scared to try something new and just churn out sequel after sequel.

I’m still disappointed they cancelled the Pet Battle mobile game. I really would have liked that for days you’re ill and stuck in bed.

Warcraft 4 and Starcraft 3

Give me some RTS dammit

  • World of Wacraft will of course get continued support.
  • A Warcraft single player RPG with choices that matter.
  • I would continue Overwatch’s original plan: An MMORPG, but not a shooter. 3rd person.

I’d cancel Diablo and Starcraft. Sorry.

First of all i would make them put Hearthstone on Nintendo Switch, it baffles me that this still isn’t a thing.

Then i would focus on fixing the current library of games before starting anything new. WoW is in a pretty good spot, not too worried there, and i have no desire for a “WoW 2” but Diablo 4 is riddled with bugs, and Overwatch 2 is a insult to its original fanbase.

Once things are back on track i would revive abandoned projects like the Starcraft shooter and the untitled survival game they cancelled.

From an egoistic point of view, I’d like to see Blizzard give a shot at turn-based strategy games.
That could be the 4x genre with something like Age of Wonders, or something like the Heroes of Might & Magic series.

I feel like Blizzard have these universes (especially with Warcraft and StarCraft) that lend themselves well to the God perspective. The RTS games they’ve made over the years have always felt short of the ultimate fantasy, because they’ve focused on micromanaging armies and having Korean reflexes, and then the universe was explored through cinematics.

But if I could get Heroes of Might & Magic III with oldschool Blizzard’s innovation and polish, in a Warcraft setting, I’d be set for life.
Or an Age of Wonders or Civilization or Stellaris type of game set in the StarCraft universe with the accessibility and gameplay emphasis of a Blizzard game, that’d be something.

Evidently what they are making is a kind of open-world FPS game set in the StarCraft universe. Star Wars Battlefront or Helldivers 2 I guess is what they’re going for, with their own spin.
We’ll see how it turns out.

Well in all honesty, I’d try to renew company relevance and excitement by launching a BNET crypto project or some bonkers thing like that but since you’re asking about games, I’d try my hands on a brand new IP and I’d also try to move Warcraft a little bit past WoW and also try to kind of salvage the Starcraft situation, although admittedly I wouldn’t know how. Maybe I’d make a live-action series out of it, idk.

For Warcraft:

  1. I would do the open-world, single-player story set in the Warcraft universe as you said and I would utilize a time skip to distance myself as much as possible from a lot of the current characters and themes. I’d also provide an online mode in the spirit of GTA Online/ Red Dead Online which I believe would be hilarious to see.

The story’s vibe would be a touch darker and also kind of scarier, like there is no protector to watch over you and you’re on your own. The tone would be more somber and the protagonist would be regretful for some off-screen thing that happened between WoW and now, the combat would be more violent and visceral and it would be very much clear that the world of Warcraft is a dangerous place full of dark corners and lurking dangers that can kill you if you’re not paying attention.

In order to not make it irrelevant to WoW or vice versa, there should be the possibility to link the two games through your account so you’d get some sort of promotional thing in WoW and for the single player game maybe you’d get to see a marble statue of your chosen WoW main in some sort of legacy war memorial where the story character could pay their respects. And lastly,

  1. I would make another RTS whose story is relevant to the other game but this RTS would be different and much more complex than the previous ones. For example, if the player doesn’t have enough gold to build farms, they would have the option to send out individual peasants to (if researched) manually hunt animals in the wild or go fishing, but of course this would be risky, unwarranted and should only provide 1 upkeep at a time in order to be inconveniencing enough to force you to gather the gold you need for the farm.

For the new IP:
I’d make an MMO-style open world online game based around naval combat, navigation, island settlement, trade routes and alliances between various island nations, grand or small, and various guilds. Basically in terms of naval gameplay what I have in mind is not dissimilar to AC: Black Flag, Rogue, or Odyssey.

To be honest I’d also love a mobile phone game that actually appeals to me. So far I’ve not enjoyed hearthstone or the other one.

You just know Phil Spencer is eyeing the Halo + StarCraft crossover.

If a TV series couldn’t get Master Chief back in action, maybe Blizzard’s Orcs in Space can!

I discussed this with guildies. The single player RPG It should be set before the third war
Reasons being arthas is literally responsible for world of warcraft and 90% of its lore . All started because of him

It means avoid having to make all the islands and expansions. You can stick with eastern kingdoms only. As kalimdor wasn’t discovered until wc3.

You still got SW , Gnomereggan , IF and Quel’thalas , Lordaeron as main hubs , not to mention Zul’gurub and zul’aman

As for the RTS it could be based on the 4th war , essentially bfa why not. We had warfronts and we know other battles were happening all over in the books.

I like survival games, would have loved to see the result of the survival game they were working on but scrapped.

Wacraft knockoff of dark messiah, kick dudes into orc buildings since they’re so spiky

Would do a single player game, not open world, maybe more like a small world, kinda like the Yakuza series where you have a small area that is absolutely packed with things to do and explore. Characters to interact and make friends with, a story that knows when to take itself seriously and when to go crazy, side content that is well thought out rather than to just fill metrics, decent stylized graphics that blizzard excels at. Also perhaps a party (and a possibility of co-op through this party but not enforced) to join your adventure during the story and side content.
