If you play WoW, why don't you play Hearthstone as well? šŸ¤”

I like the concept of the game and I have played it for a bit but I think its to expensive you spend like what €60 if you buy every new expansion card packs that comes out or even more if you want all cards… So yeah i have to say #NOTHANKYOU

Don’t you spend roughly the same on WoW, between expansion cost and monthly subscription (and maybe ā€œextrasā€)?

Where’s your line in the sand between affordable and acceptable, and too expensive and unacceptable?

Yeah but if you look at it more in depth i get way more for my money in wow then in hearthstone tbh and I let you know I am not subcribed to wow I always buy game time seperate in case i dont wanna play again for a while.

Besides Hearthstone is more of a game like i have 20 minutes to spare lets play a game or 2 just like overwatch but its not really a game were you spend hours on end like some no-life person like myself :stuck_out_tongue: so yeah with that in mind i still think hearthstone is to expensive were in wow i think its worth my money

you know what would be fun? if hearthstone would replace battle pets and we have to go to an inn to battle each other with our mighty decks. not just that, but we could also collect rare cards from mobs n stuff.

inspired by ffxiv, obviously.

I’m still waiting for Blizzard to release that Pet Battle Pókemon wannabe game or whatever the rumors were about. I mean, where’s that?!

pet battle Go? for mobiles?

Something like that. So say the rumors at least.

with the poop we gave them for diablo immortal, I“d be surprised if they are inspired to do more mobile projects

Honestly… Would have preferred to have whoever it is that is the ā€œstoryā€ director for hearthstone to be the story director for WoW…

That’s Dave Kosak. He used to be the Lead Narrative Designer for WoW back around MoP.

They might be but for the Asian market it’s more popular there it’s not at all appealing here we are pc and console gamers here in EU.

I’ve yet to find a digital collectible card game that I’ve really managed to get into. Hearthstone was defeinitely one of the best ones I tried but it the CCG genre just isn’t my cup of tea

hey, ever wondered what happened to the real trading cards they had? I still have 2 boxsets from many years ago. could at least raise that old gem into the digital world.

Cause I simply dont like card and pay 2 unpack games?

I’m a big fan of card games, I’ve played magic for about 10 years where I’ve competed in many large tournaments, and my collection is probably worth around 10k euro at this point. I’ve also tried yugioh and pokemon very briefly, and some of my closest irl friends like to try most card games, ie netrunner, cardfight vanguard, eternal, duel masters, artifact, runeterra, solforge, etc.

I’ve also played plenty of hearthstone, getting legend several times in both wild and standard, with plenty of different classes and deck archetypes, but despite that, I don’t think it’s a good game, and I’ve not played it for years at this point.

The two biggest problems I have with the game is that it’s way too random, and that it’s painfully uninteractive.

Card games are inherently random, so I will never understand adding a bunch of cards with random effects as well, cards like ragnaros, dr. boom, sylvanas, mind control tech, kazakus, doomguard, knife juggler, arcane missiles, yogg-saron, etc. etc., to where a lot of games feel like they’re completely decided by random chance.

The other big problem I have with hearthstone is that it’s very uninteractive, there is no discard, and aside from secrets, which are very narrow and not available to most classes, there is no way to interact with your opponent on their turn, so this just creates a lot of non-games, where one of the players might as well not even be there, because nothing the other player did could be interacted with anyway.

I’m also not a fan of the resource system, as adding more mana each turn for both players for free ends up causing things like zoo decks running bloodreaver gul’dan, which is a bit dumb in my opinion, but no resource system is perfect, so I can’t criticize it too much.

Because it is a card game, there’s too many out there. And can’t say I’m that into those games. Especially these days they feel more made with an even stronger mindset of: how can we sell more cards.

And frankly I’d wish they’d put more story in the actual game than having to go to other games, books, short stories,… to get more.

Unfortunatly wow pedia have quite poor documentation in regards to narrative leads, so can’t get the full scope of his works.

Though still a bit shame to see one of the more colourful leads have now left Blizzard as of today.

And we are still stuck with someone who wants to bang a banshee…

Let Blizzard make a single player RPG in the Warcraft universe and I’m all over it.

I don’t want RTS, I don’t want card games, I don’t want FPS, I don’t want mobas.

I want RPG (and not crappy action RPG either; I’ve played enough Diablo 2 to last me several lifetimes; never again) or adventure.

But I guess that’s not different enough from an MMORPG for them to even consider it. So yeah… WoW it is.

I think Blizzard are somewhat firmly rooted in multiplayer games. If you’re looking for Skyrim or Dragon Age…wrong company, I think. :yum:

Hearthstone was never my kind of game. I genuinely tried to like it, but I just didn’t find the fun. That said, I have nothing against that game and I see its appeal.
