If you want your thread to matter, post it on General Discussion

Lmao okay, if that makes you quit, are you even a real pvper then? Or are you a collector, who worries about exclusivity?

Because I like just simply getting rewards, so losing doesn’t feel as bad in solo shuffle. I have the elite pvp set on 4 characters and I wouldn’t care if people can get it later too. I think rewards just keep people playing, and it reduces tilt/salt

Are you a real pvper then if all you care about is getting more easly earned rewards?
You see, everything you say can be counter-acted towards you quite easly.
Why?
Because human nature is quite greedy, atleast for items they cannot get.
You mask it by calling out other things but its quite easy to understand that you want it for yourself.

Congratz, you keep telling on yourself that you play for the rewards and not actually for the PvP.
I personally dont care about your ideas, ive already talked about it enough. You dont care about anything except yourself which is fine, but dont go around masking it.
Goodluck.

Yes it was me… DIO BRANDO

How could you have figured it out :relieved::relieved::relieved: I must hide my true evil intentions in the future

Facepalm last time somebody talked like that, we broke up a few months later.

I can understand why they broke up with you then

But to be real, there will always be 2 sides. One who wants the exclusive gear and wants it to be free for everyone and one who dont want it. And both will be called entitled. The end.

Yep, and that’s why I’m saying making it harder skill-wise balances out time exclusiveness, I never said it should be free.

Well, honestly, one side will never be happy with either way its going towards x)
I personally dont want it, but it would for some reason also be interesting to see how it would be implemented if anything.

I just rather feel they should add other rewards instead, but im not the decision maker and thank god for that.

Be it other rewards or recycled rewards, it doesn’t matter - there are barely any rewards at the moment, and those that are are virtually unreachable by 99 % of the playerbase. What kind of rewards we get is the last problem that needs to be talked about, it’s what they managed to do to PvP in the past year or two, and how to fix it, that needs talking mainly. Lemme dig up some data real quick actually.

Well I kinda know its been going downhill, you know, ive played since vanilla so both seen the “good times” but also “bad times” x)
Personally believe they need to make PvP easier to get into and not millions of micro-ccs you need to track with addons and WAs for example. Dmg shouldnt be as extreme as it is. Theres alot of things they can improve if they actually truly want to.
A new player who watches for example AWC wont even know what is going on lol.
But it feels like PvP is just in the mercy of PvE in terms of balancing and reworks.

That’s not gonna fix it. For PvP to work, you either need a separate talent tree from PvE, or they would need to remove M+. Either way, it ain’t gonna happen. → The solution to revive wow pvp is to go back to the “classic” pvp focused on the epicness, battletrounds, world pvp, etc, because in this content, meta doesn’t matter and it will always be interesting to new players. No new player will start wow to become competitive at arena. These kids will all go to LoL / Valorant / etc. Not even overwatch is viewed as viable these days lmao. Bobby’s esport vision is not working

It’s a failing vision for wow. Nowadays the esports genre is dying in general, because it’s not paying off, even in LoL, etc.

Alts not included, data from AFTER the MMR fixes that took months.

I would say making PvP easier is not neccessary. What IS neccessary though is making the systems clear to read and understand, instead of needing gladius, gladiatorlossa, Mes’ weakaura and weakauras in general, omnibar, omni cc and omni cd all as BASELINE addons to even be able to comprehend what’s going on. All this stuff needs to be built into the game and be an option to take or not take, and they need to incentivize the new players, again, with more rewards, because now there are none. We’re at a point where 50 % of the playerbase can’t even reach 1.4 cr, as you can see from the data, if you keep in mind people have alts, e.g. I have 4 alts in 2s etc. Not to mention 2s are in a catastrophic state - 2s are meant to teach you the basics, you can’t learn sh*t in RSS compared to 2s, let alone for a potential gladiator push in the future. Meanwhile 2.4 in 2s is LITERALLY ABOVE R1, because R1 in 2s is something like 2367 cr. It’s incoherent, it does not incentivize you, and it, instead of making it easier, puts extra obstacles in your way.

It’s a 20 year old game, it’s meant to be difficult. However the game should have clear rules written within the game, not outside of it. You can’t learn chess in a day, a month, nor a year either, but the rules are obvious and are typed within.

This I actually agree with.
Ive tested mes weakaura and f. me was it something that made everything easier compared to before.
But yes, actually making whats needed built into the game so it becomes more of an “equal ground” rather than a first timer who dont even know about the addons/wa and just gets confused about everything will make them quit quite fast.
The PvP right now can get better if they are willing to put in the effort for it but I highly doubt they want to do it.
Sure, I do have some kind of small hope for something in the next expansion but… At the same time they are reworking specs mid season and making specs broken every now and then which makes it even less fun.

But yea, is there anywhere you find that data that does not add alts into the equation? Since the ones ive been looking through is just amount of games played which isnt rly telling on how many actual players are currently playing.

Nop, I got my data from check-pvp, you can manually count all the alts, if you’re really bored xdddd Don’t know of a site that takes it into consideration. We did however do some maths and we estimated that in SL s2 there was roughly double the pvp participation - and shadowlands was allegedly “dead” already compared to the previous seasons, puts into oerspective how much the devs care about pvp xd

Well, ive also heard SL S2 were kinda so overinflated that aloooooooot of ppl got glad so ppl dont really take it srsly xd

But yea, there are some easy things they can do to improve WoW so everything isnt too reliable on addons and wa but sadly, not sure when they will even start their “investigation” on doing it >_>
And im quite sure every single season/expansion ppl keep shouting “WoW is dead” on forums even when theres still people playing. Its less for sure, but still in my opinion quite far from dead even if it could be alot better.

I just hope microsoft wont make it worse even while its prob quite hard.
And looking at how many new bgs we have gotten throughout the years… No comments x)
Or atleast not any good ones.

Someone’s ego rly has to be fragile af to care about this

Overinflation and participation are two different things ^^

And im quite sure every single season/expansion ppl keep shouting “WoW is dead” on forums even when theres still people playing. Its less for sure, but still in my opinion quite far from dead even if it could be alot better.

In 2s there are 1576 chars above duelist, which can be anywhere from 1576 to like I dunno, probably ~500 people at that rating. 500 people form as little as 250 teams, usually don’t play at the same time, and keep in mind 99 % of them is not 2.4. The gamemode really could be considered “dead” if it’s impossible for 99.9 % of the playerbase to get all the basic rewards. Keep in mind they left all the modes striving just like that for virtually 2 months before implementing changes they had oromised to imolement sooner a season ago. It’s not like pvo is dead dead, but they’re definitely singlehandedly killing it.

Sure, but overinflation also spark people to que up since its easier to gain rating and their goal x)
But still, participation goes up and down and its usually down the longer expansion goes, and even if theres some people who say they have been quite fast (compared to other seasons) with balancing its still there. Specs being broken for x amount of time usually tends to make people tired aswell.

I still wish for a new BG and epic BG though. And remove blades edge.

I kinda see “1800” as basic, 2100 as good and 2400 as like “milestone”.
The easy path for rewarding in lets say arena brackets is to add something between them so its not a huge step from lets say the “item parts” you get up to 1800 to 2100 etc.

And theres aloot of things they have said which they ignored lol.
They reduced crit to make skills not hit as hard. But then “compensated” specs so they hit even harder than before. :exploding_head:
They said they were monitoring 3S/RSS and would pump in MMR faster if needed. Took like you said 2 months (if not longer? Forgot lol.)
If theres anyone to blame for the actual MMR system and late responses its blizzard for sure.
The toxicity is like 30% blizz and 70% players >_>
