I mean, buying glad mounts with vicious saddle is not at all out of question. The only thing is that these should be “elite” vicious saddles, which you should be able to gain progress towards only after having achieved gladiator at the given season first.

Yeah no, I’ve seen those people asking for all elite sets to be brought back, and to be able to buy gladiator mounts with 10 vicious saddles.
They’re still whining about mage tower skins 7 years later.
Same goes for elite sets, these also should be brought back through a system that’s similar to vicious saddles, except current season rating-gated. PvP is dead as sh*t anyway, they totally need to do that to incentivize people to play it, if they still care even remotely, which they seem not to.
As far as mage tower goes, they literally did reintroduce that, and they should introduce weapon recolours too.

And why do you feel that they should bring back exclusive things that you gained during that period of time?
Dont say the same excuse as people do with “to get players to play”. Since they can easly do that with introducing more/other rewards. ^^

It’d make thosd rewards meaningless. Why even bother.
Of course I will say exactly that, PvP is dead as never and FOMO rewards are literally just tossed money out of the window. There’s no reason other than meaningless flexing to have sets time-gated, making them skill-gated is much more meaningful. There’s no reason why people shouldn’t be able to buy e.g. a 2k Legion PvP set if they have achieved 2.1k plus extra wins above that rating in a different season. Plus, imagine the player influx if they made all the 20-ish sets farmable this way. You guys enjoy facing the one and the same exact R1 fotm team in 2s at 2.1+ cr, rendering 2.4 unreachable in that bracket? Or farming glad mounts playing against the 3 same teams all season that have managed to get to that threshold? I sure don’t.
You missed out? Fine, prove yourself that you’re better than those back then, by having to invest extra effort than they have, and we’ll let you have what they had, that’s skill-based reward system.

Yes, they’d be “exclusive” enough being gated by skill over FOMO. As if that wasn’t already impossible enough for an overwhelming majority of the playerbase nowadays, since reaching 2.1 this season is like top 97 percentile, and that’s ignoring alts, so realistically even higher.
Imagine for example this:
Generic PvP Elite Set Token Name
- Awarded for extensive effort while representing in the arena. Allows to buy 1 old Elite set.
- Awarded for reaching 2.1 cr in a given season, plus winning X matchups at said rating or higher.
Aaaand yep, I’m a firm believer that you should be able to buy an extra gladiator mount for 100 wins at 2.4+ after having first gotten seasonal gladiator mount, so for example:
Generic PvP Gladiator Mount Token Name
- Awarded for extensive effort while representing in the arena. Allows to buy 1 old Gladiator mount.
- Awarded for reaching Gladiator in a given season, plus winning 100 matchups at 2.4 cr rating or higher.
So when they say “exclusive” for a certain period of time or for a certain expansion. It means opening it up later makes it still exclusive?
Also if you hover over the “elite set” in the “Appearance” tab you will see it says “limited time set - This set can be collected during the current season only.”
You want them to go back on that and say “hey guys, you can come back in 2 years and earn it np, we lied about it being a time limit on it!”.

Exactly how I feel as well.
I’ve been playing this season a lot less since I’ve reached Duelist. Because I really wanted that exclusive and great looking 2100 illusion.
But if I had known I could get it at any point in time in the next few years, I wouldn’t really have bothered.
Why play the current season, when I can get all these rewards later anyway?

I don’t know about you, but I regularly have around 3000 arenas played at a given season. Why? Because I enjoy arena. The transmog flexing ends for me when week 1 is done, because I get my mog on week 1, and then it no longer holds “prestige” anyway, so why bother. Play the game for the game, not for fake entitlement.

Yeah, I think we should get a pvp renown with 1 time per season elite vicious saddle and a elite ensemble token go get 1 of each from past season as some milestone rewards. The final reword of the pvp renown should be a recolour of the glad mount
And yes I’m not picky in wow with slaying enemies. I slay in pvp and I slay in PvE. I’m a savage
So why would you feel the entitlement of getting exclusive gear that shouldnt make its return because it was… exclusive?
Is there any reason you feel entitled that they should return it?
If you play the game for the game, why would you care about if they dont return the exclusive rewards?
Or is it because you want it back so you can get it?
