What would it do.
Plot armor prevents you from destroying the other faction and ensure any damage you do too it also give you the same amount of damage but your charater doesnt know this.

Thats a Good Question.
Assuming weâre talking from as things stand now? Somehow Sylvanas is overthrown/deposed, and the Player character for some reason is chosen as Warchief? I mean that tricky, but here goes.
For a start, there is an Old God soon to be on the loose, if all is to believed, We have just had a salutary lesson as to what happens when we defeat one evil, then start squabbling again, in fact several. Somebody has to break the Cycle, before the High King or War Chief ends up going âYay! I won!â whilst drifting through space on a ruined charred hunk of rock, lording it over non existent subjects as the oxygen slowly runs out and they die. Thats best case scenario, worst case is they become a Puppet for Nâzoth, and weâve even -more- recently seen how -that- ends. Anyway, Old Gods wins, Azeroth dies, Nâzoth does what it likes, but the Puppet dies.
But for Warchief Summerisle to make sense of this, he will need the A-Teamers of political and diplomatic minds on both sides. I donât mean people who are not soldiers, he is himself a soldier, who has fought for Both Alliance and then Horde. He would need people who can fight, so were respected by their nations and factions, and yet who can not let histrionics and breast beating get in the way of common sense.
But how?
A Peace Summit in Silvermoon or Stormwind would not work. Either way would be seen as a concession to the others. He would suggest to High King Anduin that both Factions send Envoys to the one place where both had seen what happens when the Faction War goes too far. He would suggest they both make inroads to Taran Zhu, and the Celestials. Not to have-them- decide it! Heck no. But because both parties could be assured it was a neutral place to meet. Kun Lai.
Both Horde and Alliance will have people who do not wish to take part, and in fairness, some who Warchief Summerisle would -exclude-. He would strongly advise High King Wrynn to leave Tyrande at home, with assurances he will make accomodations in a different manner, he would also advise Sylvanas to stay well clear of proceedings, for the same reason. The Instant Tyrande sees Sylvanas, any chance of peace is gone. Likewise Genn. In both cases the contested issue is the same person. Both sides must concede something however. So if the Warchief orders Sylvanas to not go, High King Wrynn must do the same to Tyrande.
The Terms Warchief Summerisle would propose, and in some cases insist upon:
Both Factions agree to recognise each other as sovereign organisations, with their own self determination in terms of leaders, laws, and systems of government.
An immediate cessation of hostilities: We are on the brink of the resurgence of the Black Empire, this after millennia of wars have weakened the mortal races, never has victory looked more assured for the enemy.
A return to pre-war borders, upon the condition that there be free trade and no embargoes upon nations, as such is what caused the Faction War to flare up the last two times. We can share our toys, the last two times the Alliance said it was their ball and they were taking it home, the Horde kicked the door in and tried to steal the ball. An end to that. Free Trade. Taxation to be agreed by parties on both sides, likely the Bilgewater Cartel and Kul Tiras.
A cross Faction think tank, to operate in a neutral location, to work out how we can best combat the Old God problem. Hostilities are left at the door, we work together, with other interested parties, sharing knowledge and tactics so that we -all- survive. The Obvious people to head this up would be Thalyssra, and (If she is somehow appeased by then) Tyrande, as both remember this thing from first time roundâŚ.
A cross pollination of Technological and scientific advancement, to allow us to perfect new and deadly weapons against the Old Gods, with Goblin destructiveness, coupled with Gnomish Reliability and ingenuity. Patents to be Inclusive, funding to be equally arranged by both factions. People to head this up? Gelbin Mekkatorque (Assumin he is no longer âon iceâ) and Mida S Silvertongue âHer Tallnessâ. Gallywix is going to be too busy sorting out the International bank with the Kul Tirans.
At THIS point. The Warchief would go âRight, this works as long as we want it to work, if you hunger for a fight, I can promise you a fight, more deadly and destructive than against Johnny Blue in his tin can armour. If you -Really- want a fight, then this is My Order. That these decrees and organisations be put in place and respected so that all can exist. If you have quarrel with that idea, the door to Sunfury Spire lies open before you, the Horde would not suffer the presence to fight and die in the company of those who will not fight for the Horde itself, but for egoâ. Get everyone to reaffirm the Blood Oath. (He may have tried to change a few clauses to make it more binding, but ultimately heâd go with what he has).
Any who leave, the Horde disavows, they are now classed as Neutral races. What the Alliance makes of that, is frankly up to them.
Send envoys to even the strangest of allies, ones who whilst repugnant, should have interests in -surviving- an attempted Old God incursion. After some discussion with High King Wrynn, suggests neither Horde nor Alliance take them in, but that they be allowed to form their own âCoalitionâ. As many of these races, Centaurs, Gnolls, Kobolds, Yaungol and so on seem to be tribal cultures, it is probably best that this Coalition is âadvisedâ by Horde leaders, perhaps someone of honour like Saurfang. Naturally if the Alliance wish to send envoys also, then that is their perogative, but some of those nations have bad history with Humans, so it could be a thorny problem. (Yes that is as clumsily Machiavellian as it is supposed to sound, in order that the Alliance go âWell, weâd better get those races more in line with our thinking into some sort of âFederationâ to counter thisâ This is entirely by design.
Nâzoth rises. We Either all Die, or we Win.
At this Point, Warchief Summerisle and High King Wrynn are rulers of the world entire, apart from Pandaria, with the âCoalitionâ and âFederationâ as suzerainty states. War between the two, given that there -is- no where safe to run, and there -is- nowhere to hide- means that a Ceasefire remains. Pandaria may be aghast as to how the world stage has changed, their place now the pivot of a see-saw,and yet, the more pragmatic of them would realise this would how peace would always have had to have looked.
âIt was a more prosperous age, then, ten years after the destruction of Nâzoth. Medicine had advanced, scientific knowledge, economies were stable, and for ten whole years the Horde and Alliance, as well as their Client states, the Coalition and Federation had remained at peace, border disputes settled swiftly and calmly, by both sides. Certainly, some old fashioned scaremongers, Genn Greymane, hardly able to walk without a cane ranted that the Horde still possessed most of the Aeroth, of Mana weaponry they had never shared, and that Kalimdor and the Northern Eastern kingdoms had all fallen behind a âBlood Red Curtainâ.
It went largely unnoticed, everyone was much more interested in the new technological device, better than the old Buzzboxes, it had moving snapographs, with some arcano-tech lent from the Blood Elves and Shalâdorei. You could almost see things recorded, not as they happened of course, but the PATT assured the world such would we be coming soon, but for now, people gathered around the stores in the Dwarven district of Stormwind, watching jerky black and white images of King Anduin Wrynn, looking his thirty years, shaking hands with a seemingly Ageless Warchief Brigante Summerisle, both smiling.
The Speech was inspiring. King Wrynn dismounted from his Gyrocopter transport, a jubilant smile upon his face. Holding aloft a document. The flickering snap-o-graphs couldnât focus on it, because they did not need to. King Wrynn elaborated. âI have just come back, from a conference with Warchief Summerisle, about our concerns regarding aggressive naval moves in the vicinity of Kul Tiras. Many, were concerned, that these were sabre rattling exercises designed to Call our bluff, or unsettle Lady Admiral Jaina Proudmoore, due to her history with the Sinâdorei people. I am happy to say, that Warchief Summerisle has promised me that this is in no way Sabre Rattling, and so it is with great satisfaction, that this document states that we shall have âPeace in our Time!â
Elves yo, they play the long gameâŚ
I love your entire post.
Love all the political stuff.
Not going to copy all of it as that would make the page too long
EDIT:
Tho i wonder what your charater would do if the alliance would refuse any peace agreement that did not result in sylvanas imprisionment by the alliance or prove of her death.
They will not budge on this no mather how dire the threat of the black empire.
Likewise if you give sylvanas to the alliance you would have to deal with a forsaken uprising.
Retake Gnomeregan or take over Mechagon (I havenât done the the questline so not sure if something there happens), make it the new capital of the Alliance. Then she would be there, being wealthy and supervising the engineers walking on mass destruction weapons in case the Horde decides to come try picking a fight.
Sheâs not a leader type and would be quite selfish and Gnome biased
Chunkinâ Chieftain Chook would give Orgrimmar a makeover, you can be practical and stylish
Import some of that good soil and plant a few trees
Also commit to the dismantling of the Alliance I reject lame plot armour rules
Womp make Warchief title into Wompchief, so it no more war, just Womp.
Then he make Domp peacechief so that there peace.
Doesnt mather they still affect you.
Enjoy your mutual assured destruction.
Continue pursuing the war, but invest more resources into stealth operations, spies, and widening the existing divisions within the Horde. Propaganda has come a long way since pamphlets and shady street hawkers. Arrange relief efforts for groups affected by Sylvanasâ random acts of evil, even ones within the Horde. Theyâll learn who they can trust.
Also try not to tick off the various Light-worshipping organizations too much. They probably wouldnât be happy about a Void Elf in charge.
Affect*
Affect: In everyday speech, affect is a verb. It means to influence something.
Example: Politician A tried to affect the outcome of the vote by promsing yadayada.
Effect: Effect is most commonly used as a noun meaning the result or impact of something, an outcome.
Example: Politician B won the vote, effecting the state/county/region since he promised blablablabla.
In this case, it would be affecting, not effecting. Effects would be left after the plot armour rule is enforced.
Thanks for the lession.
I learned something today
No one expects the grammar-peon!
Dis why Foreman Zog no let Womp drink kaja cola
Warchief Summerisle sat back in the comfortable chair, the ones laid out by the Temple guardians in Kun Lai, one golden taloned gauntlet tapping his chin. âNo peace without Sylvanasâs death, you say⌠Lex Talionis, an eye for an eyeâŚInteresting. We could have several claims to make in returnâ
The Alliance delegation bristled âWe have done nothing to compare to Sylvanasâ deedsâ
The Warchief took a swig from his tankard, filled with port, as ever, the gold and steel tankard embossed with an angry Dwarf with Dragonhawk wings on the bottom, and the engraved legend âMagniâ on it. None of the Alliance knew why.
Setting it down he nodded, turning to the other Horde leaders in the room. Sylvanas, and Tyrande, were the only two leaders not present. He knew the other leaders had no love for Sylvanas, She had attempted the death of two of them, and ran roughshod over the Horde.
And yetâŚâŚThe Horde could not be seen to be weak.
âYou are asking me to execute someone, who will then lead to a civil uprising within the Horde, a war that would, whilst we would be victorious, weaken us, and myself as Warchief, the Horde would not follow my rule after that, and you may be assured that the next Warchief may well be a bloody fisted tyrant, determined for revenge upon this slight doneâŚ.â
He shook his head and sipped from his tankard, pausing carefully. It was a good vintage, this port, but then it always was, in the land of Eternal Spring, Quelâthalas.
âI propose a third way, that satisfies vengeance, and satisfies the ethics and morality of the Horde, and does not weaken it. It is well known, that by the sacrifice of three of their number, her Valâkyr can bring Sylvanas back from the dead, the truly dead, I mean. It is also well known that the prolific expansion of the Forsaken is due to the number of Valâkyr she has left, that being Four greater Valâkyr, the only entities who can do soâŚâ
Warchief Brigante Summerisle smiled coldly, âTherefore this is my proposition. I will not weaken the Horde. I will however give you a vengeance much more cruel than simply her destruction. Did you even think that through? I could have her head cut off, and say âWe killed herâ only for her Valâkyr to resurrect her. I would be fulfilling my part of the deal, at that point.â Golden talons drummed on the table in front of him. âThis is the deal. It takes three Greater Valâkyr to bring her back from âdeathâ, she has four, so I will do worse than execute her. I will have two of those Greater Valâkyr put to death, so that Sylvanas is then trapped with the certainty that when she dies the next time? It is for keeps, no coming back. It also does not weaken the Horde, nor punish the Forsaken in general, and as you seem -so- very invested in the idea of vengeance, you can even watch, and make Sylvanas choose which two of her four lifelines, she gives up in favour of this peace.â
âIn ReturnâŚGive us the War Criminal Vereesa Windrunner, or render her for Trialâ
âThose are the terms, and they are non negotiable, otherwise we can hurl insults at each other until eldritch black tentacles drown us all in our nightmaresâŚâ
I mean, Iâd do what any good leader would doâŚ
âŚcommission a 20ft tall mechanical unicorn, in hot pink, get some kickass speakers and floodlights mounted to it and treat you all to a 24/7 parade about how great I am! In operatic form!
Oh, and weâd be clearing out all that lame stuff like barracks and all that soldier stuff for the killer pool and cocktail bar!
You guys are in for a treat!..
âŚWhaddaya mean thereâs a revolt? What am I payinâ you for?..Iâm not?
âŚOhâŚ
âAlright, first things first. If I owned the Horde⌠for starters Iâd need a statue of me in every township and/or city and whoever is carving them better damn well make sure the pecs are the correct scale! No âartistic libertyâ crap! They need to know who is leading them to glory!â
Thuldrell takes a large swig of his drink
âNext up, we have enough spikes! I hate them! Knicked myself on my ARMOR more than a few times! This is absolutely unacceptable and I want a rebuilding of every Horde City! Suramar is perfect example of good architecture! If we could do it AGES ago Iâm certain we can do it again! And if anybody says otherwise they can jump onto the spikes they so love!â
Thuldrell empties his flask
âAlso, screw the zombies. Theyâre getting the boot! They creep me out.â
I think I would step up the shady game⌠Boost the voidies, fellies, DeeKays, magickers of all schools, really⌠Oh, and the stealthy ones.
Have one regular, official army⌠And an unofficial one that will rip my enemies to shreds before they see us coming.
Oh, and then ask nicely for a truce with the Hordies, simultaneously telling them that any misbehavior on their part will have ⌠appropriate ⌠consequences.
All while smiling politely
But who the fel would make a warlock leader of the AllianceâŚ
If Kagryn was placed in charge of the Horde and managed to dispose Slyvanas, he would spare her life. At least until a more loyal figurehead arose for the Forsaken. To keep her in line he would kidnap her Valkyr, perhaps as Brigante said leave her with two. With the Forsaken on side and the rest of the races in line his next priority is ending the faction war. For this Kagryn would exploit the relationship between Anduin and Baine, sending them to a neutral location to discuss terms. Perhaps Kun Lai Summit would be a good choice. The peace would include a treaty on Azerite and harvesting rights. We would essentially split the world in two, allowing both factions to harvest and use Azerite in areas allocated to them and them alone. Something akin to M.A.D would be agreed and apart from perhaps some minor squabbles I believe peace could be achieved.
After that his focus would be split on both rebuilding/ expanding the Hordw and preparing for Nâzoth. For that he would expand the current races under the Hordeâs protection. For Kalimdor I think the Quillboar and the Centaur tribes provide fitting candidates for the Horde and would only strengthen their position on Kalimdor. While they may be slow to accept aid from old enemies I am sure some sort of agreement could be reached. Next would be the Gnolls of the Eastern Kingdoms, to gain some more representation on the continent. Enemies of the Alliance it only makes sense for them to seek the safety of the Horde.
The recruitment would continue to ramp up, perhaps the Wolvar of Northrend or the Vrykul. Any tribal or clan like society would be approached with aid and an offer of protection and solidarity. With these new numbers, Kagryn would prepare for war, either with the Alliance or the Old Godâs. He would secure his economy first, establishing trade and supply routes with those whom were willing. Perhaps the Gurubashi in Strangethorn or the Amani in the Ghostlands. He would withdraw from Ashenvale and Darkshore, continuing to exploit Ashara with the intention of consulting the Alliance for more lumber if the Horde needs it.
Kagryn would also place goblin crews at every corner of the globe, in the case of Azerite sprouting from the ground, the Horde would be in stand by to harvest it, in their own allocated territory of course. The crews would be sent to the Hozen in the jade forest and the Taunka in Northrend. To the Forsaken in Lordaeron and the Highmountain in the Broken isles. With Azerite the Horde military would advance, along with utilising the Iron Horde tech to rebuild the navy and perhaps an aerial strike force. He would place an emphasis on Proto-drakes following his own warbandâs doctrine and ultimately be very careful as to how he deploys his rebuilt and unified Horde.
