I’ve got a problem that apparently is quite hard to resolve.
My guildie that I’ve been raiding with in classic for well over a year now asked me if I could please unignore him (he asked via Discord). I was puzzled, as I’ve never /ignored him. I tried adding him to my ignore list and removing him again. This did nothing. This problem only applies to one of my characters (my main, druid), I am able to talk to him via WoW on any other character. And to begin with it was only one of his characters that I had unwillingly ignored.
I then opened a ticket and the GM respectfully told me how to unignore my friend, but only solutions I had already tried. The GM also said he refreshed my account data. Now this actually only exacerbated the problem. For some reason I’m now ignoring all of my friends characters on my main character. None of his characters are visible on my ignore list, and trying the command "/unignore " only gives me the error message “Player not found”. Adding him to ignore in order to remove him again does nothing. Ticket #EU78873730
What Schmusedecke and Dottie said, reopen the ticket and put everything you’ve done in it.
Did you put everything you’d tried in the original ticket? GMs aren’t mind readers and, with the huge number of tickets they have to deal with, all they have time to do the first reply is put the obvious solutions in the reply as they presume the ticketer hasn’t tried them yet.
The last GM told me to make a forum post or submit this as a bug if I had tried the solutions they already suggested.
“Unfortunately we do not have direct access to a player’s ignore or friend list so we are not able to make any manual adjustments from our end. Should you continue to recieve the error message, please submit a bug report via the forums or using the in-game option.”
This was the last part of the reply from the last GM. And yes, I wrote in the ticket that I had tried both the command /unignore and checked my ignore list for any of his characters. None of them are on it.
