I agree with you. I would just add anecdotally that this is the first season I’ve been able to do this. Personally I think the dungeons are very undertunned on ptr. Even compared to a normal ptr. I expect a 35% buff to be reasonable

A 35% buff would translate to 3,5 key levels on average of a buff, which frankly will not be enough of a nerf. People that do 20s now will be able to to 16s in the new season, which is kind of bad for lfr ilvl balance.
I expect the buff to be anywhere between 60 to 70%. This will make it that people doing 20s now having to do 13-14s when they learn the dungeons. People that do 16s-17s now will do lower than 10s, and only people pushing 25s-30s will be able to push 20s. Those numbers assuming people spam the dungeons to learn the tactics.
Generally looking forward to spam some 10-15s at the start of next season.

My personal favorit part about a new season is blasting my way as high as possible as fast as possible then using the keys to get everyone one good great vault and their own High level key

I think the BFA dungeons can drop some really nice trinkets from what i remember.
I honestly like the big ilvl jump.
Yeah, I;ve started just walking on the treadmill at a gentle strolling pace. Partly due to how slow open world gearing is but also I just don’t care about gear anymore (that may be due to the slowness).
But gearing does just seem like an endless process now. Every week I do a couple of Drake Crest upgrades. I’m up to 419 now.
Will have to check, can’t even remember what dungeons we get

I mean the ilvl gap raising wont matter that much, people will just spam Mythic+ harder and you could easily progress to max ilvl from dungeons in a day with decent group.
Having said that … I’ve had another look at PTR this last week … and there seemed to be some changes. other than one or two 441 R1’s for larger weekly quests, everything else in solo/questing stuff was lower, with a maximum 437 without the crests … and I haven’t so far been able to find any way (in solo content) to get crests yet. I don’t know if that’s just because they’re not putting out all the content on PTR, or because some of it seems bugged, or if it’s intentional. There is obviously some stuff that still needs changing on PTR before live.
Plus of course S3 is only one week in.
