So i’ve been playing this game for a very very long time. I understood , that not all doors were open to me without considerate effort , time and finding a group.
I use to sit in awe in cities since TBC and players with the Gladiator mount. A very prestigious item in game and title. You had to make your own team , it was limited and server restricted. Those who earnt it , deserved it.
Unfortunately these days it’s a sham. The removal of server only teams and cross realm arena means simpletons like myself can just simply buy it.
So yes i’m buying a Glad mount this season. It’s going to cost me 5.7 million. Both players are 2.3 and 2.4k respectively. They already got their glad mount.
I am writing this not to brag but to complain at the fact that this mount is avaible to anybody with a big enough coin purse. It’s wrong.
Yeah i’m happy to get what i’m pay for. But fundamentally i feel that’s wrong. Not everyone should be able to get a glad mount. Not every door should be open to anyone via gold.
It’s sad but true. Anyways can’t wait to ride my mount. It’s a shame rare mounts in this game have become so meaningless. I do recall seeing that one guy with mimiron’s head and everybody knew his name. He was the only one on server with it.
I mean to be fair glad should be % based of the playerbase and boosted players should be purged from it and even receive a bann. Glad requirements should never have changed.
Agreed hence why i’m making this post. I love mounts , i collect them but fundamentally i feel the system is broken. The average joe , shouldn’t be able to just walk into Sw/Org and buy it.
How do people get this insane ammount of money?! I have been playing since Vanilla and the most I have ever gotten is 500k!
Also is a pvp boost reliable? I mean unlike a mythic boost it can’t be done in an hour time…how does it work? Do you pay them a bit for each time you progress or what?
Back in BFA I leveled up 12 characters, 4 that I used for progression and was doing world quests on them. By the time we got to pre-patch I likely have accumulated enough to buy the longboy if I would have saved all of it up. Most of my money simply came from doing the emissaries that gave 2K gold (12 times 2 is 22K within a single day) while with the 5 characters I had (4 ‘main’ and a farm alt) I got tons more from constantly getting paragon chests, which were about 3K-5K gold.
Right now I am planning to level up 10 alts from Horde side and only do callings with them, since each calling gives you around 1.5K Gold. Doing that on 10 characters means that you earn 15K a day.
Is it the best method? certainly not, but it works.
I have a fair few of 60’s but they are mostly stuck at the mission table. Besides the dungeon ones I can’t really be bothered to do the callings on all my characters. Same in bfa…unless there was a gold emissary I didn’t do them on all chars.
It helps a lot if you have engineering if you do decide to do callings. The wormhole can drop you into any zone of your choice so you spare yourself a lot of time getting taxied to the WQ zones.
I simply opt to the world quests that are easy and fast to do (like the flayedwing quest in Maldraxxus) but I try not to let any calling sit in my quest log for more than a day, because if you have easier WQs up and you skip on doing them you may have to do a lengthy one on the next day.
It is kind of time consuming (depending on how many hours you can afford to pay) but currently I have a goal set that I want to achieve for a special project, so I do not mind. I have to set all of it up first.
In BFA the only gold missions I left slide (and sometimes let slide on my main as well) was Nazjatar. I couldn’t be bothered to unlock the zone on all alts, on top of unlocking all the puzzle games.
Playing the AH. Boosting yourself. Buying tokens. Farming certain items like mad at the start of an xpac. Etc.
For example if one farmed Widowblooms until the market crash one could easily gotten several millions by afk farming in darkhaven.
You pay and they set up a plan if it takes longer. Or you just buy the 100 rating brackets. However one, as with any other boosts, should only purchase them from respected communities and ignore bad ones such as nova.
I went with the Calligraphy ones, since there was always a single one up per day, so you were able to finish it without every having to touch the other world quest types.
Nazjatar left me with symptoms similar to PTSD after playing the benthic lottery on 3 characters during EP times. I couldn’t stand the place after that and wanted as little to do with it as possible.
