I'm confused why I'm getting declined from keys when i've timed 18s

It doesn’t prove anything and never said I have “so many leavers” that’s a strawman…

Having skills, good score, ilvl or w/e doesn’t say anything about being a leaver or not… So even if I took my time to cherry pick the team members I would have the same chances of getting leavers…

But yeah sure, wanna keep tryharding for no real reason and cherry pick your members expecting a “smooth” easy run? More power to you… I am not judging you, actually if you find a meaning in doing this, again, more power to you… I don’t though…

My keys are fine for what I want from the game, no “disaster” here are you would like to believe…

Classic ad-hominem… When I see someone doing that all the time I just stop replying to them after 2 or 3 chances…

Even if you think you have better skills and your skills give better credibility to your opinion, you still have to explain why your argument is correct and mine is wrong…

So yeah, don’t bother with that person, ad-hominems are the only way they know how to argue…

How do you even get to that ilvl?
I am 465 ilvl on my healer and have almost every slot hero items but not even remotely enough crests to upgrade basically anything >.<

got declined for a ton of +17 keys on my ilvl 465 healer with 2.4k+ current rio and 2.7k last season rio

there is shortage, but there are many groups who still wants a 3k rio healer for +5 key

there is a cesspool between mid high and super high.
those wanna be’s in the 3k rio range are often terrible at the game and the first ones to flame everyone for being bad.

tons of chill players at 2.6k. Didn’t play with those 3.5k and above, so can’t say much about that at least

not true.
If you invite 3 complete potatoes to a +18 key it will be very high chance that it will be a complete failure and eventually somebody will leave.
Yet if you invite competent people, the key has a high chance of success and will have no leaver. Only if those invited end up not being good players and the key will deplete, there is a good chance someone will leave.
so the chance of having leavers greatly increases if your key will deplete and the chance your key depletes increases by inviting random bobs to your key without checking their skill level.
In your key range that may be not a big issue as the timers are so long you can probably have 80 deaths and still time an 11 key.

I don’t vet the people a lot for keys I invite, especially for low keys, but I tend to check previous and current rio. Don’t care too much about ilvl as that is just not needed.
Just blasted through a +12 +++ with a group assembled in 1 min. People had less than 450 ilvl, including me, but the players had solid experience which made the run 0 death and very smooth. (also because +12 this season is omega easy)

Content starts to scale hard after +15 in my experience. Then you definitely need to vet your people a little bit. (ilvl + rio)
I never really check logs and also never wait a long time to assemble a group. So far I don’t have a lot of fail runs

that isn’t necessarily true at all.

I am 100% certain I can run higher keys than +20s, yet I just did my +20s end of season of several chars in less than 440 ilvl just because in the end I decided, well just get portals for whatever.
in the beginning/mid I had no real reason to push, I didn’t have motivation and I found portals quite useless (still do). At the end I was just bored and knocked them out quite quickly because I was away from home for 6 weeks and had plenty of time without family.

so assumptions are not always the best. There are many many great players that are not doing +25 keys, but actually could.
I also certain I could do +20 keys right now with 0 tier, but I just cba at the moment. It is not fun for me to try hard with all those fail dps running around making my life hell as a healer. I rather wait a while till people actually know the bosses and don’t always kill themselves with the first mechanic that comes up.

just my 2 cents here

Once you’re capped on aspect crests you get wyrm crests instead. It’s one of the nice things about this patch.

yea, at least then you dont risk getting good drop on champ level track.

still kinda awful design because getting crests in an 11 is just way more chill and faster than only running 17s+

And the fact it’s a currency now and not taking up like 10 bags slots

As a dps you want to do your own key not try your luck in lfg application system.

I suppose that depends on who you ask, personally I find 17s kinda chill.

Why do all the people have the need to take an extreme as example to disprove my points…?
Yes, you won’t be able to be carried through a 25… Surprise… not. This is a level far beyond anything most people will even think about ATM and maybe even for the entire season.
But we are talking about scores equal to 14-17 keys. In this key range, the score is absolutely useless because people are easily carried by pugs who just want the score, farm stuff etc.

Aparently 470 is easy - do you know how many signups i had to mine toxic superbloom 470 + only this morning i did 4 times ? It was crazy :slightly_smiling_face:

And the adres benefit of reporting all people WHO Has been cursing me on whispers for declines was just icing on top

Dungeons +19 and up drop 470 end of dungeon, so that’s at least full 470 for free, HC raid can get you up to 476 items, and we’ve had 180 aspect crests already, which can get you multiple hero items upgraded to max. Add to that the fact we’ve already had one vault (not counting today), and 475 isn’t really that surprising. My main is 478, but there are people who are already 480 and above.

people will really feel how inflated those itlv are once in a month or 2 they decide to roll alt which they havent farmed m+ a lot in S2 and will be hardgated from doing literaly anything in game due to how crazy low their gear will be.

and then 10.2.5 will bring catch up gear :stuck_out_tongue:

The reason u are not getting into groups is 3 folded :
high ilvl
high rating
meta mentality
not to mention there are over 10 dps for 1 tank or a healer

rather depends on what role you play and also which whom you play.

17s with bursting for a healer is everything but chill in 99% of the cases.
For dps everything is always chill and Tyrannical is usually super chill for tanks as well. Now with 470+ ilvl, tanks are immortal in those keys again anyways.

That’s assuming tank is 470 already :stuck_out_tongue:

Im quite hesitatnt to tank 15-16 with 460 - gonna see today how that feels because on 452 +14 hurt quite a lot on some pulls

And ye as tank i so much prefer tyranical :stuck_out_tongue: as dps fortified always is best

Invited 455 tank in +17. Went good.

I do M+ for 3 reasons

Rio Score, Loot and challenging myself

The Rio is really only for the achievements at 2k and 2.5k.

The loot allows me to progress in raiding and enables me to push higher keys

The challenge is to see if I can time higher keys.

This is the reason I do M+, this is what is fun for me. And in order to achieve these goals, I don’t have the luxury that you do to simply invite whoever shows up. You have to think about composition and strengths to an extent.

And that’s fine. We want different things from the game. However, I can say with certainty that a burnout is around the corner waiting for you. Most of my real-life friends were playing WoW like you do and they came to despise the game without even knowing why… Not to mention I am reading all the time from other players in this forum that they don’t have anything to do aside M+ and maybe some crafting. And now you might say “that’s just an assumption, you don’t know me”. And yes I don’t know you and I might be wrong but I’ve seen this scenario play out so many times it’s not even funny anymore.

Now I have only in-game friends (I mean in WoW of course, I still have friends in real life as well) who want the same things as I do from the game, so we are all happy with our gametime. I mean seriously, I have so many entertaining things to do in-game that I could spend 12+ hours in it on a daily basis if I had the luxury.

Of course I am not trying to convince you, that you are enjoying the game in the “wrong way” and I totally understand that, after a certain number, M+ stones need a high degree of optimization. I am just offering my personal experience and a different point of view.

Biggest nonsense i have ever read. Just because someone enjoys challenging himself there isn’t a burnout around the corner. Wtf.
