I am not trolling. And the only priest I’ve ever played is Holy. And some Disc.
But I also don’t see the issue with warlock, I play one almost daily solo, in LFR, dungeons. I don’t see a problem with it. Yes, you have to cast, but you also have instants and near-instants. You have a lot of utility. Defensive and offensive CDs, it’s a well balanced class that plays very well and not overly complicated. It’s clean, lean and mean DPS machine, with no old clunky leftover mechanics from ages past.
Damage is OK, I have no issues with it. Donno about Mythic raiding, “tier lists” and 1% comparisson charts stuff but it seems OK to me overall. It is not lacking. Both single target and AoE are fine.
Mobility is low but that is warlock for you, always has been. But you have tools to deal with that. And can tailor your talents for more mobility. If you want a more mobile warlock, it’s called a mage.
There are many things wrong with TWW currently and many classes need fixing (some need it like yesterday) , but lock is not one of them.
Idk man, maybe being able to deal with affixes myself instead of relaying on someone else to cleanse me (without having to sacrifice my interrupt), or not having my interrupt tied to a stupid pet which may or may not be close enough to the target because it’s bugged out near a ledge or something, not having my interrupt be a stun or an interrupt depending on the mob (because sometime I want to stop the mob from casting in order to move and not stun them in the same place). Oh I know, maybe not have all my wild imps despawn in Dawnbreaker pretty much every time I need to skyride.
That’s actually a valid criticism, the problem is op doesn’r mention that, he is pissy about class not being as mobile as mage, i agree that it’s really weird that warlock can’t use both interrupt and for example dispell while being only dps class because it bound to a pet, while basically all other dps casters can have it simultaneously
If i wanted to be mobile as mage i’d play mage. You are right though i should be more clear.
Destro aside from a look on the talent tree is mostly fine.
Demo and affliction need major updates. What i would like to see for demo is at least instant dreadstalkers or chop the cast time of all major demons.
Aff needs to scrap and start over with the spec.
Also warlock talent tree is a mess.
Even though I really enjoy my Warlock, it can be annoying to be overlooked by another class for DPS
We seem to only be a glorified summoner & healthstone vendor
I don’t really care about M+, so that side of the argument doesn’t concern me.
A bit boring, but also I don’t like leading a group/raid. I like to relax and chill, it’s why I prefer pet classes, as I can let them do their thing while I just roll my hands over my keyboard and hope abilities get thrown out to do extra damage.
Whaaaat? No, really, what? I mean, maybe i’m really bad at destro but i can constantly zoom around as demo and still maintain my dps, like for example heroic bloodbound horror’s beam does nothing to me, while destro feels like a stationary turret when i’m out of sb charges.
The only my gripe with demo’s casting is hound/vilefiend casts a 0.5 sec too long for a 60 sec cd
You are stationary when you are setting up for tyrant and can move around when you are not, because after tyrant expires your dogs and imps start to give you demonic cores regularly, so you just enter the HoG>instacast demon bolt spam phase
Demo right now is very powerful but its main problem is that everything is cast yeah, on plus side I can do cc on two targets simultaneously through macros by casting fear on one target and telling pet to stun another target.
You mention dps and damage again…why?
Are you having fun playing warlock?Could all 3 specs be a lot better than they are now?FEEL a lot better…
Could our talent trees be more impactful?Could we have more qol changes like burning rush off cd?
These are the things that we all should be worried about and discuss.
I’m done arguing,i’m the kind of player that comes and goes nowadays anyway,i always come back to the game just for warlock though and i don’t like seeing my favourite class at this mess.
Right now Warlock is in a pretty good place damage wise.
But we’re still seen as a summoner & healthstone vendor. We’re pumping out decent numbers, it’s just outside of those 2 things, we don’t really provide anything raid wide, so we get overlooked in that aspect.
