As a colossal douchebag myself, I like to quote Schopenhauer:
For what is modesty but hypocritical humility, by means of which, in a world swelling with vile envy, a man seeks to beg pardon for his excellences and merits from those who have none?
For whoever attributes no merit to himself because he really has none is not modest, but merely honest.
What a man he was.
I don’t really mind when other people brag.
Bragging doesn’t hurt anyone, and I feel like when someone has invested time and effort to become the best at something, they’re allowed to show off a bit.
Based.
You’re that close to acknowledging that Legion objectively hurt the game in the long run.
Don’t get me wrong, Duelist is very good. It requires actual skill.
But, to truly be considered one of the best, I believe you must have Elite or Gladiator.
And don’t forget about the people listed in 2v2 and 3v3.
I disagree. Duelist is top 3%.
Being better than literally 97% of the players you’re competing against is objectively being “one of the best”. Yes, there are still a bunch of players above me. But not that many.
Less than 200, actually.
Worthless brackets.
Solo shuffle rank is more valuable because it’s split by specialization.
In 2s, Restoration Druids will always have a massive advantage, and their rating in this bracket doesn’t mean much.
In 3s, the META can mean that some specs will shine and others not.
In shuffle though, your rank is only decided by how many players of your specialization are above and below you. Therefore, balance does not impact where you stand on that ladder. Only your performance does.
I don’t ‘beg pardon’. I just don’t think it’s worth bragging about.
And to be clear: There’s several aspects from my ‘real life’ I could easily brag about. But the vast majority of them, you wouldn’t even know about because I haven’t even ever mentioned them on these forums. Frankly because it’s none of anyone’s business here.
Allowed, sure. But it still makes me personally feel a bit icky about it.
I don’t view it as a good personality trait. But it’s perfectly fine if you do.
Even if it did, that doesn’t matter. It was an awesome expansion. The aftermath of it has nothing to do with its quality at the time it was current.
Alright, now I want to see those naked pictures.
I disagree again because what kept being unenjoyable after Legion was already unenjoyable during Legion.
As a matter of fact, I didn’t wait for Legion to launch to hate it, I was already hating the pre-patch because half of my spells were missing.
Okay, so you chose ‘subjective’.
That’s fine. It’s okay to be wrong.
On the contrary.
In Shadowlands and Dragonflight, Blizzard partially undid the ability pruning, acnowledging it as a mistake.
In Dragonflight, Blizzard got rid of mandatory chores and borrowed power systems, acknowledging those as mistakes.
TWW promises not to repeat those mistakes.
That’s Blizzard saying: we promise not to release a new Legion ever again.
And so, nature is healing.
Not Legion. So irrelevant.
Not Legion. So irrelevant.
Not Legion. So irrelevant.
Your hatred of Legion takes grotesque forms my dude.
Anyway, we’re derailing your own thread. So let’s leave it be.
I will say: If there’s something I dislike more than bragging it’s humble bragging.
At least you’re being upfront about it and I can appreciate and respect that.
Fair points.
Lmao, when I put this forth in an argument, where I pointed out I’m playing at 2.3k mmr, I was told this is “low”.
Ok, sure.
(They say its dangerous to disagree with them…)
Whoever told you this is objectively incorrect.
I assume those players did have higher rating than you, but the fact that they are an even better player than you doesn’t change the fact that you are also a top tier player yourself.
You can’t exactly disagree with numbers.
Rank 11 here
I was rank 32 on my specc this season, and last think i got from that is an ego lmao
Its soloq its way more important too keep Quing and getting lucky with lobbys and rounds then too make plays
A mage that knows how too play defensiv but that one game against you he didnt use block, a MM hunter how loose all rounds but on your team he get some lucky crits in the opener and you get one win with him
Good stuff, well done.
I think I managed to get to 300 world mage at one point without even playing much. It was like 2k
PvP’s that dead.
Indeed very troublesome. But I have faith it will restored.
i was once in the top 100 ret paladins in eu at the start of dragonflight season 3 i was not there for long but it was a good feeling while i was
Sitting alone in Ma’s basement being good at a video game is not something you should boast about, kid.
