Being better than literally 97% of the players you’re competing against is objectively being “one of the best”. Yes, there are still a bunch of players above me. But not that many.

Solo shuffle rank is more valuable because it’s split by specialization.
In 2s, Restoration Druids will always have a massive advantage, and their rating in this bracket doesn’t mean much.
In 3s, the META can mean that some specs will shine and others not.
In shuffle though, your rank is only decided by how many players of your specialization are above and below you. Therefore, balance does not impact where you stand on that ladder. Only your performance does.

I assume those players did have higher rating than you, but the fact that they are an even better player than you doesn’t change the fact that you are also a top tier player yourself.

I think I managed to get to 300 world mage at one point without even playing much. It was like 2k
