I got to witness the rise and fall of Blizzard.
I missed the very early games but I instantly fell in love with Starcraft when I got my hands on it in 1999 (it was also my very first online game).
After that I played all their titles except Overwatch and WoD.
Now it looks like the adventure is coming to and end…as it should.
All things pass eventually, good or bad. Now it’s time for Blizzard to pass and be tossed away and forgotten in the world of mobile gaming and predatory micro-transactions.
They will never be loved again, so might as well be dead.
I’m happy I got to experience Blizzard, I genuinely feel privileged for it.

StarCraft will forever remain a perfect game. Same as Diablo 2. I love Blizzard’s games - even Overwatch. But damn… StarCraft, followed directly by Diablo 2 set the bar so high. WarCraft 3 was AMAZING and it still was in my opinion below the bar Blizz had set for themselves. Truly amazing legacy.
Ok Karen, shall we ask for the manager ?
I remember when wow came out, I were die hard fan, cos felt like they care about player base, GM’s did some fun and was helpful.
I praised wow, cos there wasn’t cash shop and I were happy to pay sub, cos of that.
Now its more like, from hero to zero. Ragnar to drug addict.
