Hello fellow adventurers.

Returning player here, who picked up the game during Shadowlands and didn’t really play during DF. My gaming friendship group and I decided to get back into WoW, ready for the expansion and with around 30 of us, we want to raid Mythic again!

Sadly, we have not had a great experience with this. between bugs with UI, actions bars vanishing, spells vanishing, bugged quest lines and general frustrations each day.

Today’s annoyance, admittedly minor , but it’s something every day:

Our Dalaran HS’s have vanished from our bags, we all used to have them. Research shows me they have been replaced with a toy. Good new’s right? Saves bag space I suppose. But none of us can use the toy. After yet more research and watching youtube content. Apparently we need to go back and complete a 1.5 to 2 hour campaign from a old, outdated expansion, that we have no interest in doing. Just to get back an item that we had in the first place. Just to make our lives that little bit easier. Just why? We all have the toy, but we can’t use it for reasons, that make no sense.

More annoyingly, some of us starting the quest chain a while ago and then stopped, and have no easy way to work out how far we got, so we are all having to spend additional time going through websites to find the quest chain, memorize the quest names, and then find the quest giver that we got to.

Finally! We get to Dalaran, pick up the memories of adventures past quest, and then that’s bugged and we can’t complete it and have to wait another hour for it to rotate to the next place.

We are calling a chat tonight to decide if this is the game for us…

Its the worst time to begin now, in little over month would be better timing wise if didnt play until now. I managed to get stable addons but atm this is mostly what there is for now, there is no season or no tuning likely before expansion is launched. Its just waiting lobby for the moment.

well yea nothing is working …

i wanted to level this shaman
first i tried in bfa and got stuck in a quest because 2 of 3 quest mobs didnt drop the key.
i decided to go cata then, only to be stuck once in uldum as no npc was there and then stuck in hyjal.

i gave up, what a joke

We get one free lvl 70 boost with the base edition of tww, after pre-purchase tww can use it for something that would want play in next expansion :dracthyr_a1:

You only need to do the Broken Shore intro scenario, which takes about 15-20 minutes, if you’ve never done it on a character on the same account and faction before. If you have done it on a character of the same faction, you can talk to a NPC and skip it.

The Broken Shore intro quest actually was broken for a few months, but they fixed it a few weeks ago.

At the moment it’s the new interface and all the changes to the old content (including DF) thats causing the troubles. In a month or so (launch of War Within is 26 Aug) it will be the new content, so don’t get your hopes too high.

I know the trouble with the Legion starting campaign. If you have toon that has already done the intro quest, you just have to do the intro in Stormwind. When you arrive in Dalaran there will be a NPC that continues the intro and the Dalaran HS will be functional. You will still need to do a few quests on the Broken Shores but you will have the option to skip most of it.

HS stones Are toys now,fond them in toy section.

Because to use the dalaran u need to go to dalaran legion and do a qeust that u earn the heartstone

i was bored because nothing to do at lvl 70, so i wanted to level a bit but cant even do that without massive bugs lol

Do the event. It’s fast, if a bit boring.
I got a character from lvl 51 to 70 in less than 2 hours (not exactly sure how long it took, but I spent time at 2 locations, so it can’t have been more than 2 hours since a location lasts for an hour).

Most dont need it. Kinda greedy adding 70 boost to buff the price. Nothing is free from Blizz so dont believe you get the 70 boost for free. Scammers will be scammers.

DF is old content now and the quest xp is (wild guess) 5x what it used to be.
DF rep is (for all but the furbals) account wide so in the past days I leveled 5 lvl30-60 I had hanging around to 70 doing DF and maximized rep on all major factions.

i didnt want to level because i want this toon on 70, i just eanted to quest a bit for fun
i already have 6 max level shamans.

normally i hate leveling and questing but i was like well i am bores and got only 30mins time so what the heck and then run into 3 major bugs lol

I got 11 max level hunters. With a bunch more at various levels.

Ah, yeah I can see how that’s bad.
Pre-patch probably isn’t the most stable time for the game, honestly. :wink:

i wonder if it was broken previously already.
i wouldnt be surprised if those bugs exist for a while and wont get fixed because almost nobody reports them and just moves on

There are a ton of bugs flying around atm, but I doubt any of your issues are bugs. They have just not been given any consideration when they were implemented. There should be tooltips to help people with stuff like this.

The spells that you are missing will be talent changes that have just taken effect. It has not removed the old icons from your bars. Again blizzard being very sloppy and lazy, but not really a bug. You can see if those spells are still in your spell book.

The Dalaran HS was implemented to let you complete the nag quest that has been introduced about a month back. If you had not completed the Dalaran introduction questline, then this allowed you to complete the quest without being restricted by the area block. It was the same icon as the Dalaran hs and used the same function. But it was a one time use to let you complete a quest. Google Dalaran HS for more info on what you are missing.

The memories is now ongoing and active all the time. So this does not apply any more. But after seeing the shambles that remix was, yep, they really need to up their game with the events they have been creating of late. I am not surprised this one did not work as it should either.
