If i want to craft a 418 ilvl belt, what do i have to skill? I went into garmentcrafting → embellishments → belts. I put 80 points in that specialisation.
My tailor skill is 351 (including illustrious insight). So quite a way to go to be able to craft a 418 ilvl piece.
I also put 18 points in the first talent in draconic needlework because I didnt know better. I assume these are wasted points although it says it grants +skill for each point when crafting armor with reagents like chronocloth or azureweave. My belt requires that to make but I dont have a way to confirm if these points count towards total skill in making belts or not.
Am i missing something?
Is tailor mastery which gets unlocked at skill 100/100 counting towards overall skill?
Someone here that can bring some clarity into this mess im in? haha
The single greatest boost is coming from using t3 mats only, which is +75 skill while crafting
Then your profession equipment +22 (from blue quality or better ones)
The rest comes from your specialization and each profession has a tree (in Blacksmithing its Hammer Control) that provides a universal overall bonus to all of your crafts, that is usually +30-40 skill.
The main problem is that even with the open world treasures (8 for each profession each giving 3 knowledge per use but only once) and the hidden trainers (10 knowledge when interacted with, one for each prof) you will run out of it rather fast, and the weekly fix amount is rather low, so you have to rely on draconic shard and random drops, not to mention that if you cant gather the mats for yourself it can get expensive.
