Melee hunter shouldn’t be a thing. It was a bad design choice on retail and it’s worse here. I used to really like survival back in MoP and WoD.

Every weapon is hunter weapon. Hunters have been ninjaing all kind of weapons since 2004. It’s part of their class identity. Like rogues (the ninja part, not the all weap part)

If you have scorch debuff and someone else with the fist debuff, with trap launcher you’re within around 30 dps (a bit less for orcs) of DW, but still behind. You don’t need the 2H axe.
It does unlock the utility of trap launcher tho which is a big plus.
Melee hunter is the most boring crap I’ve ever played. I get that there are people who enjoy it but I’d wager that most people don’t. I’m really hoping they buff MM so I can pull out of this carpal tunnel inducing spam spec.
The melee hunter was there at the origin of WoW, the first hunter talent tree, in survival, was specialized in melee/traps.
The hunter should always have had a melee spec.
ps: And for those who are pissing themselves with joy with the nerf of the Dualwield rune, are you aware that this in no way affects the build 24BM/07survi or 31 survi with trap launcher and 2H?
In your hatred of the hunter you don’t understand that this nerf will only affect the hunter in pve? In pvp you will continue to cry because nothing will change.
