I’m trying to figure out what is going on. The past 3 weeks i have experienced periodically insane lag spikes with rubberbanding. I contacted my ISP, they measured my connection and found no issues. They advised me to turn off my modem (fiber connection) and router for 10 minutes and switch em back on again. They advised me to change my patch cables from cat5e to cat6e, i did all those things. It did not resolve my issue.
Last night i went to raid with my guild, and we were 5 ppl out of 20 who experienced the worst lag again, home latency went up to 1147ms and world went up to 16607ms. We figured out that all of the 5 ppl who experienced this, have the same ISP. MIdway through the spike which lasted 3-4 minutes i did a test of my connection on speedtest.net which gave following result 3ms 925mbit download and 925mbit upload.
I contacted my ISP this morning again. Again they could not find anything wrong with my connection.
I have tried reinstalling my WoW client, updating addons, deleting addons.
I am playing WoW:Classic Season of Discovery on Wild Growth EU
Is there something i am doing wrong? Is it an ISP issue, is it a me issue? This is getting so frustrating, i cannot figure this out.
Having the same issue here as well, also from denmark… mostly in the evenings, will have no issue playing for a while, and then suddenly people will begin running in place and will keep doing so for almost a minute… until it catches up… have made a traceroute to the blizz eu servers, and everytime it dies on a certain point… so wondering if that has something to do with it?
yeah, what the other two dudes said, i’m a dane too and get HUGE lag spikes out of nowhere, this has happened the past 11 days since i resubbed, i go from a decent 18/18 to around 1-2k home / 10-20k world
Idk what their issue is, but if this doesn’t get resolved before the release of the new expansion, i’ll demand a chargeback on my preporder until this is fixed, cba spending more time then necessary on something i can’t control.
