Third post I’m making about Lore/Immersion thoughts so Ill just go ahead. I have two questions, both somewhat similar. Blood/High/Void elves being interested In Highborne/Night Elf lands and culture being possible (Would such interests be accepted?).
Would Blood Elves Mages want to learn from Highborne history, an example being Shen’dralar history or would they resent Night elf affiliation because of their banishment and the later Highborne integration In Cata? (I know the Highborne and Night elves difference is only social).
Blood elves are Highborne, so pretty much all of the pre-Sundering history of elves is also their history. They wouldn´t have an issue trying to discover the lost parts of it.
When it comes to Shen´dralar, I also don´t see an issue with blood elf wanting to try to learn more about them, however at least some magical practices of Shen´dralar that they passed on to night elves are considered to be inferior by blood elves (such as use of Arcane constructs: https://warcraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Hacking_the_Construct
).
Of course, there´s a difference between wanting to learn about something because one is curious about the world and wanting to learn about it because one views it as better and more interesting than their own culture. A blood elf that is familiar with night elven culture might even be seen as valuable by the others around them as their knowledge can be of aid. A blood elf that preaches to their kin about greatness of night elves and Shen´dralar in comparison to blood elves will be disliked.
Honestly such a great answer! Thank you.
