Immersive Challenge

Hello,

In the lines below I would like to share the challenge I created myself in the game, to make it more fun/immersive for me. If you want to change the rules to fit your style better and you think it makes it more fun/immersive for you do it. I’m not here to judge/point the finger at anyone. Play the game how you want.

I’ve created this challenge because I no longer can play for many hours and I always rushed the leveling process while playing WoW, and never really completed the story.

Considering this is an RP realm I think my challenge has alot of RP stuff in it.

Before I talk about the rules I would like to talk about Addons, and recomend some to you guys that will make it much more fun.

1. Immersion - addon that will make quest reading much more easier and immersive.
2. AzeriteUI/ GW2UI/ ElvUI/ Standard UI - in terms of UI’s I use AzeriteUI because I really like how it looks. But use whichever you want even the standard version is OK.

And now comes the rules:

1. You only have one life. Try not to die. If you die you need to find another player in the zone you are that would come and ressurect you. Because there is now way for anyone to check if you have ressurected yourself or if someone ressed you, it all comes to you. But it’s an RP moment for you and the player you ask for the Ressurection.

2. You can only use gear from: Professions/ Dungeons/ Raids/ Random bosses in the world.

3. You can only clear a dungeon once for RP purposes.

4. Quest items/ dropped items by regular NPCs must be sold/disenchanted.

5. Use AH only to buy materials / sell things you gathered.

6. Don’t send gold from another character.

7. Don’t mail items from other characters.

8. Don’t beg for gold, try to make it yourself.

9. Don’t send bags from other characters.

10. Don’t use Heirlooms.

11. Try and read every quest you get. You will start to see the world different.

12. Cap your character at different brackets, for which the expansion was meant to be played.
    60: Kalimdor & Eastern Kingdoms
    70: Outland
    80: Northrend
    85: Cataclysm
    90: Pandaria
    100: Draenor (Warlords of Draenor)
    110: Legion zones
    You can stop your xp gain in Orgrimmar or Stormwind.

13. Try to complete as many achievments as you can in the expansion they were supposed to be done.

14. No flying mounts until you get Loremaster + Explorer of a continent ( if you already have pathfinder for newer zones). Exception are Icecrown + Storm Peaks which were made with flying in mind, and Cataclysm zones.

15. When a timewalking event occurs you can do it multiple times, doesn’t matter.

16. Have fun and change rules to fit your style.

In the first few levels it may seem really easy, but as you go further it will start to get a little bit harder. As you don’t have alot of gear, because you always need to craft it.

This challenge has made leveling for me more interesting, more immersive, I discovered quests and stories that I have never done. Made me enjoy the game more.

Considering that we are currently in the timeframe in-between expansions, challenges like these can really spice up the game and give a lot of people something to spend their time on.

Yep, it is something that change the pace of the game. And as I’ve said this is what I’m doing because I don’t have time for endgame anymore and I just want to re-Explore the World of Warcraft that I fell in love with. But anyone is free to change the rules to their own :).

This is actually really cool and I might attempt it on my next alt. I try to do some of the steps already but I’ll admit, levelling gets boring at times.

Also, I had no idea about Dynamic Cam! I feel like that would be great for RP.
