Reported this bug in game a few times so posting it here now in the hopes someone will pay attention and fix it.
I have a macro for my imp dispel for PvP to dispel my healer which reads:
/cast [target=my healers name] Command Demon
I have tried it with ‘singe magic’ replacing command demon and still it is hit and miss. Sometimes (rarely) it will actually work and dispel my healer, but most the time it will just cast the dispel on me. The macro isnt broken because if I sac the imp I can dispel fine every single time, but if the imp is out and alive, it just casts it on me 99% of the time.
Some points to make:
Yes my healer is in line of sight of my imp when I’m trying to cast it
Yes my healer is in range of my imp when I cast it.
Is anyone else having this issue and/or found a fix to make it work every time? Getting really frustrating being forced to play GoSac when I don’t want to.

Yeah it needs to get fixed asap. It always worked in Legion. Now its just broken and killed some 3s games for us.
what is the point of playing with imp xD
Dispelling traps mainly. Better to have my healer out of cc vs hunter damage on warlocks, especially in the current state of the game where it’s live to high stacks and one shot someone

Imo imp is so bad because of low dmg/squishy. It might only work vs low teams but vs teams where I am it doesnt.
I mean imp has like ~10-12k less HP than fel hunter, that’s like one fewer mongoose bites or whatever?
It’s mainly for 2s as affli when I need haunt to gib idiots with 3 ticks of drain, but to do that, I need my healer to keep me alive and for him to do that he can’t sit full traps every 30 seconds and to keep him out of traps I need my imp to dispel the right person.

Call me a masochist. It’s fun when you play against idiots but we’ve been hard stuck bouncing 2150-2250 where people realise they need to save something for my drains.
Just never really liked the other lock specs, would rather play a mage than destro, it’s just a better version. Same reason why I’ve started gearing a shadow priest lol
