At first sorry for my bad english but i'll try to be understandable !
I do arenas since bc and sadly i find the actual PVP is too much focus on arenas and i'm tired of this... i've stop playing at wotlk and i come back for world pvp and if i post here its because i'm not satisfied of it as you can imagine...
So i have few ideas to improve the actual PVP mainly World PVP
To begin i think blizzard should make classements for world pvp a bit like in vanilla with hk but kinda different.
I imagine a classements of your kills in world pvp in solo and with group from 2-5 with rewards, achievs, titles...
I think solo world pvp player should get same rewards than arenas players accordings to your hk with a classements by hk.
For exemple if you pvp solo you could get (for season 1) 380+ilvl at 2 370+ at 3 360+ at 4 350+ and at 5 340+ (according to your solo hk)
Even with achievements there're toons of possibility, for exemple the best 0.5% solo world pvp player could get the "heroes of the horde" title or the player with the most of bountys could get a title like "the most wanted" (its just an exemple i just try to give some ideas :/).
The problem in my opinion why the actual world pvp don't work is due to the lack of rewards (A title+mount doable in 10hour is not enough !) everybody is afk in capital waiting for his arenas/dungeons/raids/bg (I know there're few balancing problems between horde and alliance but you have just to gank boralus even alone in any realm to see hundreds of peoples all afk even more...).
The duelist arena is never used too so why not a 1v1 classement only for dps specialisations (and allow professions maybe ?) ? with titles, rewards, achievs... and for exemple (for season 1) with 360+ ilvl to earn ?
I've tried most of class at the moment (with lvl 110) and people crying about others class are stronger than their class is truly not an excuses but people never assume and said "he is just better" (and NO i don't main rogue !)...
Probably toons of fault (as you can imagine its not my natal languages but i do effort to learn it) but i think its understandable.
If you have others ideas GOOD critics i'm interested (if its about the subject of course).
World pvp raid groups are the best way to farm HKs obviously. I don't think there should be more rewards for world pvp (there are achivements and titles anyway). It's just for fun, defending your faction and helping people in trouble satisfy me already. If i were good player i'd go play some ranked matches which i suck, and it's maybe just more satisfying catching good pvpers offguard and kill them :D Wpvp is just for fun as it should be IMO, i'm content with amount of HKs.
Arenas and Bgs are for fun too
WPvP needs not just more rawrds, but also some ability to progress. It should be slower than Rated PvP, but not by a lot.

Also, if there were more WPvP specific transmog items/sets and mounts - that would make it even better!

If you're bounty (maybe ONLY in party of no more than 5):
- you get 1 CP for each killing blow as DPS/Tank
- you get 1 CP for each kill if Healer spec
Currently a lot of players logging of (or at least teleport to capital) when they got bounty on them. Giving CP to bounty more incentives to stay. Also more bounties = more targets = more content. Also it would give healers more incentives to join.
I agree that we need more sources of CP from WPvP. Like for example:
- Bounty and Airdrops should reward conquest more than once per day. Similar to BGs/Arenas - first of the day is 35/50, next are 15-10.
- Also for Airdrops. Scale amount of conquest points from Airdrop with amount of players of opposite faction killed in its vicinity. So if I found airdrop and there is no one, I get minimum conquest, but if there is a fight - winner gets additional conquest from chest for each killed enemy.
And I would love to have vendor for Conquest points, in addition to current weekly bar/chest. Like:
- 500 conquest point is equal 1 item of 355 ilvl, and there is also an upgrade token for same 500 points. Why not make a vendor, that sells 355 items for 500 points...
- Make this vendor sell higher ilvl items, for 1500 point = 370, 3000 points = 385 (as an example). But actual items, not RNG boxes.
- For Rated players - just cut down prices. So gladiator prices for example would be 500 points for 385 item, etc.
New Open World content in 8.1 and beyond will reward Conquest points in War Mode. If it's a currency with a vendor it would give ability to progress with you character (slower than with Rated PvP, but still an ability to set goals and progress) - so many more players would participate in WPvP. It will be awesome!
Also, if there were more WPvP specific transmog items/sets and mounts - that would make it even better!
