Improved Group finder that existed in Classic

Hey,

I wanna talk about the feature that was never implemented in Era or SoD, but did exist.

The meeting Stone group finder. You can currently find this function when you talk to an Innkeeper and look at the option:

“Tell me about dungeons i could explore → uldaman → Join a group going to this dungeon”.

However this function does not work at all in SoD or Era. The problem that it had in classic was that this group finder randomly invited 5 people into a group without any thought of tank/healer/dps. it didnt teleport players to the dungeon, it just found players.

This function was possible to activate through the meeting stones, when you right clicked them, they put a player in a queue.

Now my suggestion would be to just add in the extra option “sign me up as a tank/healer/dps” to solve the issue with having 5 dps with no healer. If not then make it work like it did in Classic, randomly invite people. No teleport, just find me players.

You’re right it used to find people but Blizzard opted not to include this option in, since players can make use of the more sophisticated custom global LFG channel and filter addons.

The latter suggestion was also implemented in the TBC expansion update where you could form a LFD group/list. I sincerely doubt that Blizzard will add such a version again in Classic.
