Improving Dark Ranger Performance for Beast Mastery Hunter

Dark Ranger underperforms for Beast Mastery (BM) Hunters when compared to Pack Leader. To address this imbalance without affecting Marksmanship (MM) Hunters who also use Dark Ranger, I suggest the following improvements focused specifically on BM mechanics:

  1. Increase Black Arrow’s chance to reset Barbed Shot cooldown (Beast Mastery specialization only).
→ Barbed Shot is critical for maintaining Frenzy stacks and overall pet damage, which is central to BM gameplay.
  2. Introduce pet-based Shadow scaling while Black Arrow is active.
→ Pets could deal additional Shadow damage to enemies affected by Black Arrow, enhancing BM’s reliance on pet output without influencing MM.
  3. Enable pet Kill Command and autoattacks to fire a Shadow-enhanced Cobra Shot at targets affected by Black Arrow.
→ This would create a more dynamic and rewarding interaction between pets and Black Arrow for BM.
  4. If Beast Cleave is active, Cobra Shot should cleave to all targets affected by Black Arrow.
→ This would improve BM’s cleave potential naturally without disturbing single-target tuning.
