In 10.0, please return all daily quests to world quest

The only fix to the faction issue is removing the barrier. The only fix to daily quest problems is to either remove them or completely remove power progression from them.

I like this idea, would also add the player power to legacy content and casual bgs.

Dailies = spend minutes looking for that one NPC, then realize you forgot 1 and you can go back again after you’ve done the others. Not to mention that it’s so easy to miss a daily quest and especially a calling NPC that won’t properly show up on the map.

I would love if world quests become more profession focused. Player power heavily time gated during the start of the expansion because of the cry babies that want to feel special, but for my twinks some nice currencies to even upgrade some gear.

If I run my fourth alt I just don’t want to heavily grind gear again so what’s the big issue of handing out gear (Ilvl 240 9.1) by doing all sorts of content after 7 boring months of drought. It’s a game ffs

I do prefer D3 WQs rather than dailies . But Legion like aka 2 min “kill named npc x = reward”

…not BFA like to save baby turtles…

…nor SL like: “do A, then B, then C, then D, then reward”. This design is made to waste our time.

Legion Wq were very quick however there were far more of them; SL world quests are few in number but on occasion longer.

i remember bfa and legion had(and still have) 1 elite kill world quests
and thats it go kill the mob get the reward and done
like the alliance quest to summon fire ele and kill goblin npcs(i loved that part in the alliance campaign)
just like uldum gnome obliteration

They not gonna do that xD Its to complex

I prefer oldschool daily quests over world quests because I this way I can choose what I want to do and what I do not instead of quests being forced upon me when I fly above a zone for something completely different. The voiceover can get pretty annoying as well after a while, since it keeps repeating.

Dailies are better than WQs when done right.
The Korthia Dailies were not done right.

Done correctly you visit the hub and pick up five or six dailies that all have objectives in the same area. Kill 8 mobs, pick up 6 flowers, click on 12 levers, loot 8 items.
You go to that area and do all the quests in 20 - 30 mins and return them all.
At Honoured or Revered they add a couple of more follow-up quests with more rep to go kill the Captain or something.

Korthia Dailies are scattered all over the zone (just like WQs are). They are like WQs just that you have to pick them up first and hand them in after, so worse than WQs.

WQs in Legion and BFA made all the factions feel the same and you didn’t really feel like you were doing anything for a faction. you felt like you were doing your daily chores.

Also remove Emissaries, put the rep into the Dailies themselves. Six dailies giving 1800 rep rather than WQs give bugger all and the emissary giving 1500.

And remove Paragon boxes, or at least make them only have some currencies.

Well, they should be.
Korthia scatters them all over the zone, it’s a smallish zone but still it’s rare that you can do two quests at the same time.

That is a perfectly valid philosophy when it comes to non-repeatable, story quests. But for your day-to-day grind, having to pick up the quests is just an additionnal hassle. As a daily, it doesn’t carry much emotionnal involvment at all, and so it is contradictory to ask the player to act like it does.

World quests however, provide something else entirely: They make the world feel alive (arguably artificially, but alive nonetheless). Daily quests provide neither emotion or ambiance, they are the worst of both worlds.

I think almost every daily in the game should be replaced by world quest equivalents. The emissary system makes it even better, because the presence of an overarching reward for completing X world quests, makes you feel like you don’t need to complete every single world quest in order to have completed the zone for the day. It gives choice in how you want to obtain the reward.

This couldn’t be more wrong, at least in my case.

My strongest emotional attachments to characters in the game are to the people I spent the most time with - my pals in the Tillers, the Shado-Pan, the crew in Molten Front, and so on.

My principled argument against world quests is that they break the core model of the game. My personal dislike of the removal of dailies is that it also removes most of the associations I have with NPCs.

Maybe turn the daily into a one-time quest which unlocks the world quest once you turn it in. But do you really re-read the quest everytime you take it? Does it really improve your involvment with a NPC when you open their dialogue box to accept the quest without reading it?

Picking up all daily and weekly quests is such a chore, and I often forget a few. World Quests only pls.
