Hey,
I posted a similar topic on technical forum, but maybe I’ll get a better chance here.
In short… the game feels like it’s suspended in thick syrup, molasses or honey. It’s either an internal delay or (more likely) delay in between display of a cast bar of an enemy on my screen and that person’s actual cast. This applies to position as well. I would estimate the delay in between 0.3-0.55s.
The result is, I cannot kick a thing. Literally. As a matter of fact when I press a kick on a 1.1s cast when it’s halfway throuhg, it will miss. It’s not a fake cast, or uninterruptible cast, etc. I press a kick, ability goes on cd, cast keeps coming through and connects.
It’s so bad, that number of times, I pressed kick when nothing was being cast 0.3+ second passes, enemy starts to cast, and… voil la… my kick lands… on a cast that wasn’t even started when I pressed it.
I’ts very different experience compared to network lag. During network lag, when I press a button I have to wait for an action to be displayed/performed on my screen. Here it’s an instant action on my end, spell gets casted, ability goes on cd, etc, but nothing happens on the ui/ enemy plate (cast still goes through).
I have very good mms delay and even, if we assume a really bad case scenario of: input lag+connection lag at 0.2 second, a cast that is over 1s is really easy to kick. However right now, it became virtually impossible to kick for me. I remember maining rogue back in WoTLK and you would often wait till 0.1s till the end of the cast to get a kick and it would land. Now, If I press it 0.5s till cast finish it fails. My frustration reaches its peaks.
