Hey everyone,
Is there a way to block whispers in-game? I’m getting spammed by a few people everytime I play any of my characters because I don’t have a guild on either one of them and it’s becoming really irritating, my only option is to report them for spam so far.
You can disable whispers from appearing in every chat tab:-
right click over the chat tab → settings → turn whispers off in all channels
If you wanted to block specifics, like people not on your friends list
Make your own guild… it’s how I got around it.

Its not working… Im spamming the Tech Support about this bug for years…
You can disable it but… everyone can Whisp you and then you have to disable it again till the next guy whisp you. Its broken. And turned on your System Messages aswell. Im turning on my System Messages+Whisper just to avoid the annoying messages “John joined the battleground” , “Paul left…” but when someone whisp you, its turned on and you see them again.
I cannot wait for the addon the spam people back who’s addon spam me when they PI me 
Just switch to Combat Log and keep it there forever. You dont ever need to go back at chat section.

Block guild invites.
Firstly, you will want to go into interface > social and set your whispers to “in-line” then go into each of your chat windows and turn off whispers.
You can turn off whispers in the chat tabs but normally it would just create a new window, this stops the creation of new chat windows for whispers.
Be warned however, you won’t be seeing anyones whispers at all now.
you can setup your chat so that whispers go in a separate window, and just not open that.
or you can join a guild or make your own guild, so you can keep the whispers at bay if that’s why they are whispering you for.
This should work but yeah, it’ll have to be enabled in the relevant chat windows again in order to be able to see regular whispers. Personally i just have a dedicated whispers and bnet chat window but that’s more so i don’t miss if anyone pokes me.
You can block guild invites but the annoying messages the addons spam still go through to you.
The addon works fine so far but I just realized, wouldn’t changing my status to Busy on bnet block whispers too?
